Upscale beachfront resort with spa, near Mae Nam Beach
Good location. Bit dark around property at night, although there are lights on the paths.

Very nice beach front hotel. The staff made sure you had everything you needed. It is located in a quiet area but provides a shuttle to the happening spots if you decide you want that for an afternoon or evening. There are some small local restaurants within walking distance if you want to try something besides the hotel restaurant.

Unhealthy tap water with sand and black material without any hazard warning, no water pressure in the shower, phone didn’t work, flush didn’t work, clogged drain, late room service, and a very arrogant manager who would not cancel the reservation to move to another hotel. Definitely stay away from this self-claimed 4-star hotel.

Very nice place very relaxing. If your interested in going out at nights then the location isn’t the best but overall it’s really cute. Would stay there again!

Everything about this resort (besides the distance from Central) is great! The resort is quiet, private, and small. It's an ideal size for a couples getaway or quiet family trip. From my perspective, it doesn't accommodate more than 200 or 250 people. It is also right on the beach. Even the farthest room is just a 3-minute walk from the beach... Since there's free breakfast, and the resort is so small, you eat while watching the sunrise. It's beautiful. I'll be honest, their food is OK. Breakfast is standard. I wouldn't eat at the resort for dinner -- there are amazing places like bars and restaurants right outside on the main street that are cheaper. Though I can say the resort has a Happy Hour between 5-7pm. Not bad... You can also buy alcohol in the 7-11. The service was very good -- they have English and German speakers! They helped us call taxis and answered questions. One thing I'd improve -- since the resort is so far from Central, have more shuttles!!! They stop around 8pm (returning back to the resort). Taxis back to the resort is ridiculous.

Everything was great and to my expectations. Rented moped from hotel which was SO MUCH FUN and convenient. Everyone was very nice and professional. I would say the hotel is fantastic but not quite amazing. I wasn’t blown away, but I was very impressed. I would really recommend. Thomas was very nice as well.

We've stayed here twice, and came back because it is a very good hotel. The room was quite nice. Comfy bed, clean shower and bath. The restaurant could use a bit better food, although I guess it was the offseason and a Sunday at that, so maybe the head cook was on his/her day off. The breakfast was quite extensive, as usual. Good job. They put a lot of effort into keeping the grounds looking nice. The staff was wonderful as usual. Highly recommend!

Paradise Beach Resort in Maenam, Koh Samui is a real cozy place with a "family hotel" feeling. A breath of fresh air compared with machine-like international chains. The staff is charming, flexible and helpful, the atmosphere is relaxed. Don't expect fancy marble bathrooms and plush carpets - the decor shows the signs of wear and tear, but you know where to turn the lights and the aircon on and off (have you ever tried to figure out how to work the lights and curtain switches in a modern hotel? - a nightmare). Two pools, massage and restaurant on the beach, decent breakfast, overall good food. Great price-to-value choice on the popular North Samui waterfront.

Fantastic, considering we moved from our other hotel that we booked after 1 night and lost a lot of money on. The hotel and their staff were fantastic. The only 2 minor things that could of been improved was the shower pressure was very low and the TV did not have the best reception. Overall really lovely but down a very very long driveway and not a lot around the actual hotel itself to do. They did have a shuttle bus which was a great service into Chewang and Bohput which was great but otherwise you have to taxi to go anywhere.
