A great downtown hotel
I really liked staying at The Terrace. I wasn't planning on valet parking, but that was okay. The dining room was full of people which implied that it must have been popular with both guests and the locals. It was perhaps the best value I've enjoyed in years.

Old Time Florida with this Historic Hotel
I was in Florida for my daughter's wedding in Tampa but she lives in Lakeland. I normally stay with her on my visits but this time she had a full house so I opted for the Terrace Hotel. The porch overlooking the lake is by far the BEST part, gives that feeling of old Florida. The rooms have these huge historic windows with grand drapes. This is not your cookie cutter hotel. Close to my favorite smoothie shop and other hangouts. Walk around the lake or downtown for a pleasant stroll. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

An OK place
Stayed two nights, in town on business. The room was nice, had a fridge. Artwork on the wall was faded to blue. WiFi was good. Ice machines did the job. The complementary breakfast was pretty minimal ... coffee, pastries, apples. My wife had a bowl of oatmeal in the dining room each morning for $7.50 a pop. You can get about a year's supply of oatmeal at Costco for $15! They really try hard at the Terrace ... its just kind of an old place.

Lovely visit
The hotel is beautiful and in an ideal location. The restaurant service and food was outstanding. Our only complaint was that the bed was so hard it was like sleeping on concrete. We will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for us.
