Carmel Valley Ranch, Carmel
Good6.0
ongoing construction
They are remodeling the property, which was accompanied with loud construction noise starting at 8 a.m. and lasting throughout the day. Food was terrible and expensive. Tennis courts are 30$ hourly fee for use. This is more of a corporate retreat center and not a hotel targeted toward families.

Nice valley ranch
I chose the valley view garland suite, almost $600/night, for my family to enjoy the view and expected a wonderful stay. However, we got a room #233, the view was very limited. There were another building in front of our left corner and some big trees in front of our right corner. The view was blocked. The patio floor and couch were so dirty. Nobody would sit on the couch or stay on the patio to enjoy the view. That was an amzing valley ranch. The valley view was this up-charged suite all about. And it didn't come out well. We were very disappointed. Except the room condition, the entire resort is beautiful. The pool area, lobby and restaurants are good. We enjoyed a little hiking in the resort. Overall, the room condition and that limited valley view was a little disappointing. Good resort, though.

Adam and Eve in the garden of Carmel Eden
Comfort to a T. Perfectly dog friendly. They even share the dining room which was fun, they were better behaved than most children:) The golf course was spectacular and reasonably priced!
