cheap hotel but not recommended!
The room was very cold. We reported this to reception however they did not seem remotely concerned and nothing was done to rectify the situation. Bedding was thin, there were no blankets, pillows were lumpy. Overall not a pleasant stay! The breakfast was slow and the beans were stone cold. The photos on the website border on false advertising, the hotel is nothing like this, I can only assume they have upgraded a very small number of rooms and chosen to neglect the fact this is not remotely representative of the hotel as a whole. On the plus side the hotel is cheap, conveniently located for Alton Towers and most importantly our stay was only 1 night.

Clean and comfortable nothing more
Breakfast service was dire, food was inedible over cooked and dried out. Waiting ten minutes for butter then got a huge tub of used margarine. Coffee out of paper cups had to keep asking for milk. Staff serving food with coats on. Not good.

Unbelievably Unclean
Booked in for a 3 night stay and first impressions were not too bad.... First, got the key card and made way to the room, forgot the number but tried what I thought to be the right one. The occupier was a little startled to find someone else in their room. Second, once in correct room - same key card, no recoding - walked straight back out and asked for a clean one....3 rooms later. Not being fussy, can accept some wear and tear as part of a budget hotel. But bodily fluids over the fixtures and furnishings is not acceptable. Third, fire hazards galore. Forth, breakfast - if the local corner shop doesn't have it, nor does the hotel. Not overly concerned about eating there after the rooms seen. Fifth, packed bags and left. Not a good representation of a budget hotel, there are far better ones out there, I suggest you find it! You don't get what you pay for with this place, your imagination couldn't make it up.
