A hotel of last resort - and maybe not even then.
Very disappointed in this location. The building was very worn down. The carpets in the hall and room were worn out with occasional staining in the hallways (room was fine). The ceiling tiles in the halls were spotted with water stains and even mold. The road back was worn out and scattered potholes the entire length. AC did work in the room as well as the TV and Mini-fridge. Bed was stiff but the linens were very clean and I still slept well. However, the walls were rather thin and I was awoken by my neighbors' leaving in the early morning hours. The bathtub/shower was extremely worn out and had scuffs and markings all over. Thankfully, I was only here for 2 nights, but I did end up investing in some baby wipes on the trip since I just didn't feel comfortable using the shower. I chose this hotel because I was in town for a convention and just needed a place to crash. I wouldn't be spending any more time other than sleep hours here. It was cheap and local to public transportation that took me directly to the convention center. I'll pony up a few extra dollars for my next trip however. This hotel was a complete miss in my estimation.

Look elsewhere for a hotel room.
Staff was rude, coffee was either extremely watered down or way too bitter, orange juice was extremely watered down, breakfast was mediocre at best, and the whole bottom floor reeked of sewage for a day or two.. The bed was also extremely lumpy and had an odd scent..when asked for new sheets and blankets, the staff was rude and very unhelpful.

Great price, comfy bed
Really nice place for the price. Off by itself and very quiet. Will use again.

My favorite hotel in Charlotte
I had a great stay. I dealt with the owner/manager upon check in and check out. Great man with respect and also a very welcoming staff. In this rough neighborhood 575 Clanton is a jewel. I've stayed here before and I will return. Thank you to all the staff!
