Novotel Surfers Paradise, Surfers Paradise
Very Good8.0
The Deluxe Room (Ocean View) @ 24th Floor was very nice, comfortable. A great view of the ocean and other tall buildings including the ground activities in the day or evening. The hotel is just next to Cavill Avenue Tram Station which makes it easy for commuting. Overall, it is good value for money.

Outstanding accommodation
My husband & I had a wonderful overnight stay at Novotel Surfer's Paradise. We were on the 26th floor with a beautiful view of the sun rising over the ocean. Our room was spotless, comfortable and modern. We were attended to almost straight away when we pulled up outside the Hotel entrance. Although we had to wait a short while before the receptionist could serve us because of a bus load of Japanese tourists arriving, the Novotel gentleman that greeted us at the front helped us unpack our luggage from our car and looked after it until we arrived at our hotel room. The man kindly brought our bags up to level 26 and we also requested a bucket of ice to be brought up to us which was delivered the same time as our luggage by a friendly hotel lady. We were amazed at the size of the room and we had a king bed which was very comfortable. Our booking included 2 hot buffet breakfasts which were lovely and appetising. There was complimentary wifi but we had to pay $17 to park our car in a reserved section of Woolworths car park. We absolutely enjoyed our night and wouldn't hesitate to stay again at Novotel Surfer's Paradise but for a longer stay next time.

Overall, disappointing! Before Hotel Grand Chancellor became Novotel, we had stayed with them twice before and happy both times. This time, we were given one of the two smaller rooms of the floor, which were cramped. The bathroom was very small and in desperate need of an update ( perished basin and broken rusted drain pipe) The worst shower head known to man and the air con fan didn't work. The mattress was well used and rolled into the centre. Balcony door was sticky and hard to open once outside. It's sad to give this review, but it's inspired us to stay elsewhere in the future for the dollars paid.
