Sad, Very Dirty, poor customer service.
The hotel was dirty, carpet have stained everywher, I saw the floor was dirty, I used a white towel and swiped it I could not believed my eye. The next day I report to the guy in the front desk, (I believe assistance manager) he suggested he will talk to the cleaning supervisor about it and will also move me to another room, which never happened. One day before I checked out I saw couple managers and I spoke with one of them. Showed her the picture I took with my iPhone. That night when I went back, the carpet was cleaned and the floor was sort of cleaned. The cleaners left their red wipe towel and a bunch of towel wipe papers next to the TV. The last day before I checked out the shower handle came off and unable to take shower. I contacted down stairs and mentioned to a man claim originally he is from Mississippi told him about the issue and also mentioned he might have to extend my staying for one hour until this taken care of. He was rude and refused for the extension. By 11:45 I was upset and called again down stairs, he said "oh", I will send him now. To make story short the gentleman came to fix it by 12:45 he said he will tell them to give me another room, "this will take longer”. I got a call from downstairs and was told to come down stairs and pick up the card for one of the room to take shower. I have stayed in Hyatt Hotel before, this was motel 6 standard. Poor 2.0
Booked this hotel at about 1:00 am in the early morning on June 8th for the night of June 8th. My flight from Raleigh to Las Vegas was delayed due to weather and we couldn't fly out until the 9th. Found this out at approx. 8:00 pm on June 8th. I Immediately called Hyatt and Expedia to try and cancel the room. After around 30 minutes on the phone I was told my case would be reviewed by Expedia mgmt and I would be called back. I got an email later that evening stating that Hyatt Place Las Vegas would not refund my room. I found out later the next day that I could have purchased hotel insurance up to 24 hrs after booking the room. Expedia failed to tell me this on the phone. I guess it wasn't there place to help me not lose my money?? Not very good business practice in my opinion. Ironically, we ended up staying in a Hyatt Place in Raleigh on June 8th which we were very pleased with. Too bad (for us) we had to pay Hyatt for 2 rooms that night (Las Vegas AND Raleigh). We're very disappointed in Hyatt Place Las Vegas and Expedia under these circumstances. I will be very cautious about booking through Expedia in the future. They do not seem to have the customer's best interest in mind.

Pretend there is no night shuttle
The room was very clean and much larger than expected. Central air was extremely convenient for adjusting temperature but the resolution was pretty low so it alternated from being too hot and too cold. The bedding felt cheap and the mattress + pillows weren't the best but workable. There were lots of plugs available and the external device connectivity to the TV was unusual to see but very useful. The included breakfast was fantastic with a lot of variety and options. Check-in was very pleasant and the property was clean, functional, and well laid out. What ruined the experience for me is being left hanging by the night shuttle. While the shuttle to the airport and the strip was prompt and courteous, that was only during the day and afternoon. Someone in our party started feeling ill and we thought we were lucky because there was a 12:15 shuttle to the hotel and we were in the area. That luck ran out when that shuttle was 35 minutes late. Driver also picked up a group of drunks at the mall with a $60 bribe to take them to Circus Circus, who were rowdy the whole time. He took a detour to the airport because it turns out he was also late picking up the airport folks. When I complained to the night manager, she said they're allowed to service other properties as well. So I guess she's getting a nice cut of the moonlighting taxi service. That selfishness over the guest's well being really ruined an otherwise great stay.

Good 6.0
Staff compensated for terrible stay.
When we arrived to our room, there was still trash from previous guests. It was midnight, we were exhausted, we went straight to bed. A few hours later, the fire alarm went off. After a few minutes, it stopped and we realized it was a false alarm. We got no explaination from the staff. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and headed out. When we arrived back late in the evening, our beds had been made and towels had been replaced, however the trash that was in our room when we checked in was still there. We requested extra towels and an additional blanket which was brought up immediately, and we went to sleep. A few hours later we were again woken up by the fire alarm. It also lasted a few minutes and stopped, so we went back to sleep. Again, we enjoyed breakfast in the morning, left for the day and returned to the room with fresh sheets, a made bed and the same trash. We went to bed and were for the 3rd night in a row woken by the fire alarm. After a long day out we returned to our room completely untouched. No clean towels, beds unmade, trashcans now nearly over flowing...frustrations were high. We called the front desk and yelled and screamed and complained and were told they didn't clean our room because we had the do not disturb sign out. We did not. We hung up very angry and unsatisfied. Ultimately, the staff apologized and comped two of our four nights. I won't stay here again, but they did try to make it up to us.

Almost Perfect
We stayed at room 144 last 7/2-7/4, Almost perfect because my daughter was so sure that she left her headphone on top of the bedside table and when we got back she couldnt find it anymore. Its a cheap headphone but still if not for the headphone i could have rate our stay "excellent". Things like this could have been avoided and they could get excellent rating but some staff are not honest. Our last day of stay in the morning of July 4 at around 7 an alarm went off in our room and we suddenly just jump out of bed and dont know whats happening. After few seconds it shut off by itself. I didnt talk to the management about the headphone and the alarm. Dont want to make a fuss about it anymore.
