As a previous guest this stay was a big disappointment. The service was poor from arrival to departure. Service quality would be equal or better at any roadside motel. Doubt I would go back.

6/10 Good

Stay for the history but eat off Property…
The location of our room and historic significance of the Jekyll Island Club is in a league all there own! I was surprised and amazed at the grounds and constantly in awe of the architecture. My only complaint was with the F&B Service. We were told at 7 o’clock - The Wharf Restaurant- had reached capacity and would resume seating at 8:30. The restaurant was 1/3 occupied and a wash with dirty tables. We then went to another location they own located on the beach. We were able to get a table but left to sit for sometime. The drinks took 30 minutes and we had to remind them twice the appetizer never showed. All of this was blamed on a large party that had been in the restaurant. I blame it on not preparing. My last complaint is a simple one. Staying at the Jekyll Island Club has a lineage and price tag. The lineage is the Grand Dinning Room where the elite are every meal. It is only open for breakfast. With the price tag I believe there should be a restaurant that you can book a reservation and have a more elegant and service oriented dinning experience. I do need to mention that Docs Hot Dog has incredible service for an afternoon snack or glass of wine while shopping on property. My hats off to those guys!

Historic Jekyll Island area
Enjoyed the historic area, turtle center and shops. The hotel is an amazing example of a restored site. Unfortunately it is not able to effectively accommodate those with disabilities.

8/10 Very good

House keeping, you have to call, they don’t come automatically. They did not replace the empty water bottles for the coffee maker and did not clean the used coffee cups. It seems to be a staff shortage. Our room was not made until 6pm the hotel is not very occupied right now, the mosquitos on the property were a pest. They need to use pest control this time of year

4/10 Fair

We enjoyed the property’s charm and history, but had an ant invasion on the porch and roaches in the drawers. Room service only every 3 days. Had to ask for towels on the second day and they left the pile of wet ones on the bathroom floor. One of the staff members was rude. No microwave in the room. Internet on one device only and was not “high-speed.” Had to get in the car and drive to the beach. Not a family friendly place. Expected much more for the money. Wouldn’t recommend. Jekyll Island is a beautiful place, and we will return, but NOT there.
