Beautiful Inn, only complaint was they didn’t carry NBC so couldn’t watch the Olympics.

There is far more to say about this hotel than I can fit in the allowed space. It's a great old building, in a fantastic location, but the current ownership needs to up its game considerably to make it work. There were lots of fixable, minor, annoyances throughout our stay that seem to seem from lack of financing to inexperience (I mean, really, can we get the cheap plastic cups in our room replaced if use them?). The building has been partially renovated, but the elevator was broken for our entire stay. I am a design professional and I appreciate that this building has had a hard life and the ownership is doing their best to bring it back to life. I applaud them for that. It appears that they are somewhat undercapitalized, trying hard, but a little clueless or inexperienced, or just overwhelmed. Lots of the choices that have been made aren’t cheap, they are just wrong and despite the owner’s stated interest to “celebrate” the integrity of the history of the Inn, they work counter to that. I would probably stay here again. It really is in a great location and there is no quality competition nearby. But please, Eureka Inn, get some quality design help. Get some quality marketing and up your management team. You need to up your entire game, and by more than a bit. This could be so much more than it is. I’m rooting for you figure it out!
