Walhalla Guesthouse, Zurich
Zurich Disappointment
We booked a room with 3 twin beds. We had to singles and a fold open chair - not what was advertised. You could not open 3 suitcases in the small room, so we had to book another room - extra costs for 3 night stay. Would not stay here if you had other options. No AC for days that were in the high 80s.

Tiny and cramped and serves its purpose
The singles are very small. A bit ridiculous if you compare it to a hotel room in the US. But I guess für Zurich it's normal. When they say single it's really a bed single person as well as the room space. Even the elevator was so time barely get your luggage and yourself in there. Beware there is no AC and the fans are not the best. So it got very hot and sticky in the room. The shower room was good-:)

Very Good8.0
The guesthouse has been recently renovated. Room was comfortable and clean although there was no air conditioning and very limited amenities provided in room. The area where the guesthouse is located is a bit isolated but very close to the train station. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast buffet, a very good wide selection.

They put us in a building around the corner that was undergoing major construction. The room was disgusting--no heat, filthy and stained carpet, broken toilet seat that swiveled when you sat down, scaffolding outside the windows, hair dryer held together by tape--- It was our honeymoon, which we had made them aware of in advance, so the warm split of cheap wine and chocolates on the bed was a nice enough gesture. The front desk personnel were apologetic about the condition of the rooom when I went back to the desk to complain and moved us into the main building when I told them I was leaving. The new room was decent but the first room left a very bad taste in my mouth. I won't go back under any circumstances.

Worst hotel in a million miles of business travel.
I have traveled over a million miles for business in my 73 years and have never stayed in a worse hotel in my life. The building was wrapped in plastic and under construction, the walls were like paper and we heard every noise, the bathroom was literally the size of a closet, and the bed was terrible.
