Cumberland Inn & Suites, St. Marys
Exceptional
Clean, spacious. quiet and comfortable!
This motel would be good at any price. The room seemed fresh with clean rug less floor. There were touches with bath toiletries and towels. Bed excellent. Man at desk knew what to do to get the ferry late or where to wait and where. I will return there I hope even though a couple of miles from the historic shore Could have stayed all day and read. Good job Cumberland!

Little vague...
Upon arrival we had someone at the counter whom I couldn't understand very well. By entering the room the toilet flush didn't work. Called the front desk (same person), communication about it was poor. It was solved 15 minutes by some handyman I couldn't understand at all. Next morning a real vague person at the front desk. I asked for a thinner pillow for the next night, as I found pillows too high. He thought they had them and would tell it to housekeeping. When we came back in the evening, there hasn't been any housekeeping at all. I called front desk, telephone didn't answer. Went there by myself and got same person as night before. He opted we had hung "don't disturb" hanger on the door, which we hadn't. Some 15 minutes later same handyman brought us a huge plastic bag with towels, coffee and toiletries. However no thin pillows, they didn't had them after all. On our second morning we eventually spoke to a 'real' receptionist. Nice person...

Not far from Waterfront
The hotel is older but was clean and not far from the waterfront. We had a room (#202) by the stairs which became problematic in the early morning hours after the Bottomz Up Saloon, which was attached to the hotel, closed at 2:00 am. There was a group of drunken clientele right outside of our room talking loudly, yelling down the way to others and singing. Shortly afterwards there was banging on doors from on of the participants who had been locked out of his room and was searching for his key. STRONGLY suggest to ask for a room far away from the stairs, especially on a Friday and Saturday.
