Dirty and items not returned
Hotel was nice distance to downtown but the general area didn't look great. Upon check-in the lobby wasn't super clean and then we get to our room. Its musty smelling and I find 2 wet dirty towels in the bathroom. We had to put a towel down in the tub to feel like we weren't getting kids super dirty. Breakfast was just ok not many options and mostly carbs. A few hours after leaving hotel my daughter tells me she put a dress up item in the dresser and left it. After several calls to the hotel I was informed they had it and it was in their storage room and would keep it for me. 2 days later asked about it being mailed told I would need to send prepaid postage. A few days later we were in OC and decided to just make a huge circle and drive to SD to pick up the items and then back home to the desert. At the hotel I was informed they couldn't find it, lobby girl and manager checked all their storage places and said it wasn't there but that they had thrown out left items earlier in the day. A maid came to the lobby and she made some rude comments about how my items were not that important to drive back for etc It may not be something huge but it was an enchantimal dress up set that was a gift from grandparents that live 27 hours away! Just the headband is $30 on amazon. The manager was not super friendly but did offer to check the room etc but I felt like I was bothering them. I'm just wondering what they would have mailed if I did send postage & items not in trash.

Don’t recommend
I did the reservation with my kids and my wife. First thing I noticed it was the area, bunch of people looking inside the cars and asking for money. The cleanliness of the lobby and room was terrible, the smell of the room was terrible, than my reservation was for 2 kids and 2 adults and they only give 2 towels per room. When I went to ask for another the lobby person told me that I have to bring the other towel to get clean ones back and if I want extra towels it will be additional costs. Same thing with the tissues and toilet paper. The shower was full of hair and the tub was pealing off. It smelled terrible

Worst stay ever
When I went to check in they told me since I was using a debit card they were going to charge double which isn't on their website. I had to go pull cash plus a 100 deposit. When I got to my room there was hair, food and stains on the sheets. I called the front desk and they told me that house keeping had gone home for the day and they were completely booked. The manager brought "clean" sheets and I had to make up both beds and call him one I was done so he could pick up the dirty sheets. Keep in mind I had just drove 18hrs to come on vacation so there wasn't a whole lot I could do. They also old me to use the towels in my room and just come to the front desk to get more if we were going to go to the pool. Well there was only two towels to begin with so when those were used from a shower I went to the front desk and ask for a few more and they said I had to bring my current towels to swap them out.

Not what we expected
Parking was very tight we had to walk quite a bit with all of our luggage to get to our room, the floors were sticky and had gum stains on them. My son, two years of age was walking around and socks and they were filthy. So the floors were not clean. The bedding felt damp but that may be because we were near the ocean. And as soon as we walked in it was very musty smelling it needs some circulation some air would’ve helped. We run the air conditioner all night because it was so stuffy.
