Great food great club wouldnt stay here again
Upon arrival, I was not explained any of the amenities of the hotel, like the fact they have a rooftop terrace for guests. I did not find that out until checking out. The staff was not hospitable like recent stays at surrounding hotels as I travel to south beach every few months for the past 7 years. The hotel just lacked that friendly vibe even the greeter at the door was too busy talking to other staff to answer any questions without throwing that unwanted gesture of grief for saying excuse me. My final straw was when asking for a beach towel I was told they were all out and when I asked if a bathroom towel could substitute I was told they were out of those as well when the hotels amenties clearly state beach towels were included in the fees I paid. He insisted it was "out of his power" to get a towel for myself and my lady friend whom I was embarrassed to have invited here for this was our first trip together.. The hotel is outdated also. If u go just a few blocks north most hotels now offer a changing room for guests. Here I was given the option to change in the bathroom by their front desk which all the waitstaff uses themselves so whilst changing I was interrupted numerous times by knocking and pulling on the door by you guessed it, the staff waiting to use the bathroom which wasn't kept up very well Bc the floors were wet and the mirrors were smudged. Absolutely will never go back to this place especially when there is a hotel every few doors down.

Poor 2.0
I am a travel agent who has been to Miami on a number of occasions, however this time I was there for my birthday so why not stay at the party hotel right? Wrong! I reached out to the hotel on multiple occasions, trying to get a welcome gift placed in my client's rooms upon arrival but that didn't work at all. I sent 3 emails, finally received a response from a concierge representative who told me to call. I called but no answer, left a message and received nothing in return. I called the hotel directly, and was told a manager would be in touch....again no response. So no welcome gift for my four other rooms booked. We get to the hotel and a young lady began to assist me with my check in, however she was quickly distracted by one of my client's nails and abruptly stopped to attend to her. She began to ask questions about her nails and show her pictures of future designs etc. and Eventually got back to me to finish the process. Needless to say check in was the worst! We get into our rooms, settle in and upon inspection- there weren't any trash cans other than the very small one in the bathroom. There weren't any ice machines on any of the floors, which meant you had to call 0 to get the operator and request ice. A whole 45 minutes later, still no ice. So the entire 4 days it was this same process, calling down and either not getting a response or a 45 minute wait to get ice. The worst experience, won't be back or suggest to any future clients!!!!

In the middle of the action
This was our 2nd stay at The Clevelander so we knew what to expect. It is the nicest place we stayed in 5 or 6 trips - modern, clean, and with plenty of perks. It is a party place with a bustling patio with bars, dance floor, high energy DJ, games, and more. But it is astonishingly quiet overnight - I don't know how they accomplish both but kudos to being in the middle of the South Beach action and still letting guests get some sleep. The room itself was nice, surprisingly there is no carpeting and a little chilly with a strong AC unit. The toiletries were top quality, they gave us all the water we wanted, a welcome drink that was like a pina collada, and the staff was friendly - especially the young man who delivered our luggage to the room, we had a great chat with him. We also had a beautiful view of the beach. There are two outdoor areas (4th and 6th floors) where things were more peaceful than the party going on the patio. we took advantage of the ESPN sorts bar to watch some NBA playoffs which was great. The Essex House next door has the free continental breakfast - nothing hot, but fruit, yoghurt, bread, muffins, juices, coffee/tea. There is free wifi, but we also had to pay a resort fee even though we did not need towels or anything - that fee should be optional, in my opinion. That said, South Beach has everything you can imagine and the Clevelander is leading the party.

Good 6.0
We got there several hours before check in and were accommodated well by the front desk even though we were to early so they get the 2 thumbs up. This was a very nice hotel for the most part although the rooms are quite small and the shower leaked all over the bathroom and well into the room. The bar staff had no since of urgency and it appeared that if you weren't a male with $$$$ sitting at the bar that you might as well be invisible. Lastly, the reason I will never stay here again. We got back from dinner and drinks at about 11-12 and all we could hear w\as blaring music coming from down the hall as well as literal yelling /screaming and every cuss word imaginable. This continued for quite some time until someone from security came up to speak with them and they were then in the hall with all of the loudness. I looked out my door to see what was going on and the security guy pointed at me and said " see you are disturbing people". Well, at this point I hadn't been the one to call but they now assume I was the person and the noise magnified and they were yelling, cussing, screaming out side of my door. I then called for security who came again and they did but with a slight quiet for a few minutes and then full blown music, cussing and fighting presumed. I then called again for help and I am not sure if they came back up but I said if it continued I was calling 911( It was THAT bad). I understand it is "all adult" but this being allowed and not ceased is unacceptable.

Unique hotel but know what you're getting into
This review has two goals. The 1st is about our experience and the 2nd is just a heads up. We read the reviews and fully understood going in that this was not a nice quiet asleep by 11 experience. We didn't really think through that we were going in the middle of spring break madness which multiplied everything. Our fault, not the hotel. We had a 5th floor ocean side room. Specifically did that side because we read that the pool/night club goes late so avoid that side. It does go until 5am every night, not even kidding! However on Fri/Sat night there's a 6th floor club that goes til 3. Right.above.our.heads. Front desk did warn us on check in and offered to move us next door to the Essex if we wanted but we chose to stay. As for the hotel itself, it's a 3 star facility but in fairness the staff was all 5 star. Every single person we encountered was on their game. It would have been easy to slack off at such an intense time of the year but they didn't. The wristband is magic it seems. There seems to be a washcloth shortage as we had to beg them to give us some. The worst/weirdest part is the bathroom set up. Really stupid partially see through sliding doors. We expected small rooms but they are extremely sparse as well. No privacy at any time in these rooms if you get my drift. PS, avoid SOBE during spring break, it's out of control and it's clear the locals and the businesses are not happy about it. (and no, I'm not a grumpy old fart)
