    Great option near Gramercy/Madison Sq park

    The staff was helpful throughout our short stay. We arrived early and there was a clean and bright lounge on the 10th floor with and outside space too. It was a nice bonus since the main floor has a very small lobby.

    Tiny room but this is to be expected for mid price accommodations in Manhattan. Minor gripes like loose shower handle. Excellent staff.

    Be aware

    Be aware the hotel description and photos are very very misleading. I can honestly say that for a person who has travelled extensively around the world and has stayed in many hundreds of mainly 4 and 5 star hotels in many capital cities this is one of the probably the dirtiest run down hotel that I have had the misfortune to stay in. The lobby which should be first impression one gets of a hotel sends the first red flag. Very dark, dirty with large oversized furniture. The reception desk and area is as equally depressing. The next red flag was when the receptionist took my details and advised that due to covid the hotel would only service my room twice in 7 days. The old dirty elevators take you to your floor opening to dark grey stained carpeting. The walls are completely bare with not a picture in sight. The hotel I think has subsidence problems because the floors are uneven throughout as you walk through what seems like a maze to find your room. The next red flag is the room (703) As you enter you encounter a Very small room with a desk that way too big for the room. An old clunky air conditioner further impedes any free space that you might have. The room is carpeted with a dark stained carpet which has probably not been deep cleaned in a long time. I chose not to walk barefoot. The bathroom is small and tired looking with a stained tub. The sink unit is very old and dated with water damage to most of the wood cabinets. Terrestrial TV.

    Pleasantly surprised

    The Hotel was in a prime location for our particular visit with a parking facility less than a half a block away. Hotel also offered validation for a lesser rate which was a plus. Also had a nice lounge area with an outdoor deck with a view of the Empire State Building.
