    Interesting New Property -

The Wayfarer Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles is now a very nice boutique property remodeled from its past 90+ years of historic lore. It is now a boutique for interludes and other one-night stay reasons. This is not a business person property. The rooms will not support you past one (maybe 1.5) days. Cell reception is awful in the rooms. No closet, no desk. Perfect for after parties from local clubs where no one wants to sleep but still need a place chill till the morning coffee.

The room wasn’t sound proof. We heard girls coming and going at all hours of the night. Could here motorcycles down in the street. The room was clean. However there was no fridge to put our leftovers in. In a dirty part of town

    Hip little gem in DTLA

Great boutique hotel in DTLA, close to lots of shopping, dining and LA Live. Nice rooftop bar and a fun speakeasy for entertainment. Will definitely be back.

    Not worth it at all.

I would never stay again. Overpriced old hotel. Basically they aesthetically made cute changes to what I’m assuming was an old hotel. Rooms are very small and you can hear everything through the walls. And since this is a pet friendly hotel, you can imagine my delight in hearing a dog at 7am barking, for what felt like forever, AFTER a night of hearing what seemed like the next door neighbor moving furniture all night. Also, upon check in, they require charging your credit card the entire stay PLUS $100 security deposit which was awful because I had intended on cash but the credit card was still required meaning I’m going to be out the charge until credited back (5-7days). Then the restaurant doesn’t answer their phone and the staff at the hotel doesn’t help with that. We had a reservation we needed to change hours in advance and were not able to reach literally anyone who cared. Don’t waste your money here. It’s cute but it takes more than nice decor to be worth what they charge per room. Oh and then your hit with a $20 amenity fee and informed you need to park Nextdoor for another fee. One night here cost me $350. I never write reviews. I hardly ever complain honestly but this was for a mother daughter trip for her 15th birthday and I’m not rich so this was a splurge and it really backfired. I was so disappointed.

4hr Delay to Check-in & Given Wrong Room

I had reserved one room with one king bed and one Murphy bed. I arrived at 7:10pm and was told my room wasn’t ready and would be about 20min. Check-in was supposed to be 4pm. They offered me a complimentary drink while I waited for my room. My room was finally ready at 7:45pm and when I walked into the room, I discovered that it was not the type of room that I had reserved. Instead of one king bed and one full size Murphy bed, I got a room with two full beds.

    Great stay!

The location of this hotel is amazing. We stayed here because we were going to a concert at Crypto.com Arena, and it was only an 8 minute walk. There are lots of places to eat and hang out at that are within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself was great, definitely had a modern interior while being in an older building. The rooms are on the smaller side but still great to be in, and the bathrooms were really sleek too. The hotel doesn't have their own parking, so you can park in various lots/structures around the area. Just make sure to do some research because they don't charge the same for overnight stays. Finally the service was great, friendly staff also don't forget they have items like toothpaste if you forget!

    Not what I expected

I believe the room was too small, good thing we arrive late and left early morning, plus we found a bug in our pillows.
