This is an older hotel that is kept in good condition. It is convenient to many places to eat. The bad was very comfortable and the free breakfast was very good.

Good and bad
The good points were: great breakfast, spacious bedroom, fab location and water station The bad points were: no blackout curtains so room was so light, so noisy being right next to the main road it sounded like I was on the freeway all night!, the room smelt terrible like wet carpet.

The hotel was fine except when we got to the hotel
When we arrived at the hotel I notice that the hotel being on Pacific coast highway it would be very noisy. So I went to the front desk and asked where my room would be because I am a very light sleeper and would not be able to sleep if my room is on the street side I was told that my room would be on the other side of the hotel I thank her thinking that I would not have to be concern about noise when we got back to the hotel we did go to the other side of the hotel to get in the room But the bedroom was on the street side of the hotel which is what I had ask not to have, and it was extremely noisy plus there was a light over the bed every thing else was good but not getting sleep for two night means that I would not go back again.

Never Again!
Our stay was from April 20, 2023 - April 22, 2023. I had asked for first floor because getting up down stairs is a no for me. I use a cane. Was told first floor was for rooms other than what I needed. They said they had elevators so they gave me a room on the third floor next to the elevator. Our room came with a jet powered bath. Had to call maintenance to fix it. Did not work our first night. Woke up next morning to find out the elevator was not working. Was out for 3 hours so I was unable to leave my room nor get my breakfast that came with our room/reservation. We paid $208.00 a night for this. We asked for clean towels and was told they didn't have any at the time.

Try Somewhere Else in Dana Point
The shower was terrible and there was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the containers. The neighborhood was not walkable. Very disappointed.
