North Star Hotel, Dublin
Nice hotel, bad part of town
North Star hotel is now called The Address. Irregardless, it's a nice hotel in an icky part of town. Hotel is very updated with all the amenities anyone would want but once you leave it, not much is good. Convenient to train station which worked for us.

Still my home away from home.
Everytime that I go to Dublin I always stay at the North Star hotel. By now the employees know my girlfriend and myself by face. The only tiny thing that I did not like on this trip is that they changed the breakfast room wallpaper colors to darker shades. The room looks somehow smaller and cramped.

Very nice central location
Our first two nights were upgraded, and, wow, were we upgraded. Complimentary items in mini-fridge, free wine and cheese gathering in evening, and free fruit and yogurt in the morning. Very space age with curtains opening by remote and other room operations done by tv remote onto the smart tv. Because everything is so different, we were accompanied to our room by a staff member who showed us how to use all of the contraptions. He was not in a hurry. There were always free apples in the lobby. The concierge service was out of this world. Assisted with purchasing tour tickets, gave advice, helped us out with a complicated air reservation. Very tasty bar and lounge on premise. Lots of little restaurants and grocery stores just blocks away. So terrific to purchase items to snack on later and store in the fridge.

Great choice for the money
Nice and clean hotel in a convenient area. If you aren’t used to a big city, it could seem like a sketchy area but it’s totally fine. Hotel was very nice, but wmployees we’re a bit rude and seemingly unhelpful. Mostly overwhelmed and annoyed, but they did help.
A Traveler, usTrip with friends
North Star Hotel, Dublin
Just being honest with the facial expression the hotel left me with here. That being said, I over heard several other patrons who had a very different experience than I did. The North Star is undergoing renovation and seems to be in some sort of transitional stage into the kind of hotel it strives to be. And I believe it will get there. This wasn’t obvious through physical presentation, but more so with my conversations with management coupled with the rooms I stayed in. I stayed in three different rooms though I only scheduled one. Its conveniently next to Connolly station. Works great as long as youre not by the train. Don’t bother booking a premium room unless you like a great orthopedic mattress, it really is comfortable. Just aside from that the Classic has all the same features. Ask to be as close to the ground floor as you can, the higher up you go the more you hear footsteps and feel the vibrations of people walking down the halls. Try to book The Address instead. It’s the same hotel with a different name because it’s a totally different room and they are A LOT better, lil more $. If you book this, avoid rooms ending in “*44” they are right on the corner/offer no view of the rail track and yet still you feel and hear a slight dull rush of the trains as they go by. Unless these rooms are slightly cheaper, it’s just not fair to pay the same price for railroads passing by. I can see this being a great place, yet for my experience it was worth 1/2 the cost even 4 weekend
