Center of everything, lacking in quality.
For a La Quinta, this hotel is in much need of updating. It took 10 minutes before anyone noticed me standing at the front desk, even with trying to get the clerks attention who was in the back. There are not enough parking spaces in the lot. I had to park at a neighboring hotel and walk over. The second floor was hot, probably due to there server room being open and a fan blowing the heat onto the floor. The room was clean so were the sheets. Just hot, horrible parking, and no service. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. Great restaurants near by as well as shopping and movies.

Just plain bad
A/c unit did not cool. The room had a bad odor. The hallway carpet was loose and a fall hazard. I had requested a downstairs room. None available. No body wash to be found. Only a little bar of soap. The breakfast was just plain wrong. They needed someone to watch over it. The area was dirty

Love the chain, but not this particular hotel
I was here for four nights. I love the chain, and am a frequent rewards member, so have come to expect a certain level of accommodation. On the second night, water started pouring from the light fixture in the bathroom. My companion and I were sleeping. We woke up to the sound and rushed to pack our belongings and exit the room. There was one attendant at the front desk who was not allowed to leave his station. He contacted the manager by phone, who said they would deal with the water in the morning. We were perplexed by this, since it was coming down like a waterfall! Anyway, they were going to "downgrade" us to another room, but after I said "upgrade" is a nicer word than downgrade, they moved us for the one night to a suite. The following day we were moved again to a 3rd room. So that was unfortunate and hectic to say the least. We ate breakfast every morning which was adequate, though a fresh bowl of apples and/or oranges would be a welcome addition. The hallway by the third floor elevator is in desperate need of vacuuming. Complimentary water with limes showed up in the lobby on day 3, but only for the one day. We did not use the pool or exercise facility. I would be hard=pressed to stay at this particular location again.

Don't come with high expectations
Apparently a lot of rooms used to be smoking alough they are niw non-smoking. When you book, there is apparently a disclosure. The front desk clerk was nice enough to move us to a true non-smoking room. Good customer service. Room was musty, carpet filthy. It was muggy in the room and carpet felt wet. We stayed there because it allowed pets. We arrived late and left early and we're happy to do so. It was fine for a night ,but don't come here with high expectations. Not a hotel you want to hang out for a long time. You get what you pay for.
