The hotel was in a terrific location - just a short walk to the main shopping and restaurants in Old Kailua Village. Unfortunately the room itself needed updating.

Beautiful beach access and very close to everything! We had the most amazing restaurants and activities within minutes of the hotel. Loved every minute and already planning our trip next year.

Shops hotel are nice. Beach area is beautiful and food is great at restaurant. Expedia’s breakfast was very welcome. Resort fee when not there for more than a night is way high.

Friendly staff. House keeping was very prompt. The gym provided by the hotel was "average" in my opinion. The bathroom door has no locks.

Good hotel, small beach
My sister and I came to celebrate her thirtieth birthday. We chose this hotel due to the proximity to the beach and shopping/nightlife. Room: Beds were very comfortable and soft. There were no bathrobes. The bathroom was a disaster. There were no hooks for wet swimsuits or towels, which you would expect a guest to have in Hawaii. There was no venting system, so the ceiling had warped paint and the beginning of mold. There were no outlets anywhere. In order to use my CPAP, I had to unplug the lamps and pull out the bed. It wasn't particularly easy. I had to charge my laptop over the sink in the bathroom... Pool: The service was horrible, but mainly because they were very understaffed. The people were exceptionally nice, just overwhelmed. The drinks were good. The pool itself was clean and decent sized. The hot tub was tiny and had giant stairs for getting in and out, making it a bit difficult. Towels: The checking in/out system is strange. Beach: Technically this hotel is on the the beach, but it's a public beach, so anyone can be there. It's also not the big sandy beach you'd think of- it's maybe 50' wide. The hotels has a deal with a vendor so you get an umbrella and chairs and snorkel equipment for free. We used all of these and enjoyed them. There are cabanas for the hotel, which you have to rent in order to get drink/food service and they start at $50/day. We elected not to pay for this service. Concierge: We booked a snorkel tour with BodyGlove and loved it.
