Tiny rooms and old hotel.
The staff was nice but hotels were very old and standard rooms were tiny and smaller than a cruise line cabin. For the upgraded room price one can stay at a better hotel like the Westin

Fantastic Hotel, strange Air Conditioning
The hotel and the staff were lovely. The a/c could not cool and the windows would steam up after a shower. There would be terrible condensation on the windows in the morning. Followed by small puddles on the window sills. the poor house keeping staff had to clean it every day. The staff was very warm and welcoming.

Shinjuku Prince Hotel
Bathroom was smelly. Staff was very accommodating and got us another room promptly. I couldn't believe that we had to pay for ice, shouldn't that be complimentary? They lacked on security, our room key had their hotel name printed on it as well as our room number and dates that we were checked in. If it had gotten in the wrong hands, we would have been robbed blindly. But again, we were in Japan where I feel is the safest country to be in.
