If there's another option, take it.
We needed a room in Phoenix solely to be able to catch an early flight. I'm so glad we didn't have to stay another night! The room cooled down decently while the a/c was blowing but the very second it shut off the room became sweltering hot. I sweat all night and soaked my clothes with the a/c set to 68 degrees. There were mysterious warm spots in the room that were so obvious I searched high and low for vents or gaps or anything at all that would explain the heat pockets. The bathroom door knob didn't work - in fact it was loosely screwed together and held to the door but it wasn't even flush with the door. We didn't shut the door all the way for fear of getting stuck inside. The light switch in the room didn't work, had to fumble our way to the lamps by the beds to get the lights on. At least the beds were comfortable and clean and there was enough room to not be on top of each other and to keep bags out of the way. I won't ever stay there again unless there aren't any other options. I got about 4 hours sleep because of the temperature problems and had to drive back to Tucson after dropping people at the airport at 6:30 am. The idea was that we'd get plenty of rest and I could make the drive alright without losing the day to being exhausted. I got just enough rest to be able to drive but spent the rest of the day trying to pull myself together. My card may have been charged 3 times, I'm waiting to see which "holds" reverse and which don't.

Check your room before checking in.
The first night wasn't so good as the A/C roared like a jet engine and the toilet rocked. In the morning there was no shower (unless you go to your car and get a couple of pliers out of the tool box to turn the shower handles) and the bathroom door handle was ready to come off in your hand. We checked out but later came back and finished our three night stay. They put us in a different room and everything seemed to work there. The place was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, very professional. If we return to the area and have need to stay at a hotel we would stay here again, we would just ask to check out the room before checking in.

Great Area: Plenty to do.
Very familiar with the area, so I knew location was great with plenty of nightlife, restaurants and things to do. The hotel is the nicest Days hotel I have ever stayed in. Very modern; however it seems some rooms are still not fully remodeled with the up to date furniture but still a pleasent and clean stay. The hotel employee was very kind upon check in around 7pm, she suggested places to eat ect.; however, when checking out at 6am, the gentleman was either finishing his shift and tired or something. The men's lobby restroom toilet was to the rim with shat; having to go bad, I had my father watch the women's restroom door while I went. Again, it is 6am and very slow, but the employee followed me in and told me I couldn't use it in a tone like I just committed a crime! I went anyway, cause it was either there or the floor. After leaving, I said sorry and thank you. He refused to speak. Even wished him a good day, he said nothing. I feel as a hotel employee, especially those at front desk. Your one job is to make sure the guest feels welcomed and had a great stay. It seemed as if he could careless. I should have just shat on the floor in the lobby. Other than that, great stay, nice rooms, even enjoyed dinner and a comedy show at the attached restaurant.
