Good hotel for tje budget conscious
The Argyll Arms does what it says on the tin as the cliche goes. It pretty much caters for travelling workmen, myself included. The rooms are perfectly adequate for the marketplace with large en suite rooms which are fine. Some of the furniture is rather worn. The breakfast is good and served by friendly staff. Bar meals are also fine.

Its ok, make sure you’re at the front
Too warm, but hey I find all hotels too warm. No WiFi at back of the hotel & above very noisy pub (1st Saturday night out of lockdown) moved to front of hotel for 2nd night. Much nicer room, recently decorated. WiFi ok no tv remote. Bar Muzak dreadful.. embarrassed the 8’s truest awful.
