Great Place In Wilkes-Barre, PA!
My colleague and I stayed 5 nights the last week of June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The front counter staff, lead by a fabulous woman named "Tanya," were always friendly, helpful and professional. There are two very nice restaurants where everything I ordered was tasty and affordable and our rooms came with a terrific made-to-order breakfast every day. And the breakfast cook actually made REAL OMELLETES which was a wonderful break from what I've grown to expect in business hotels of a pan of scrambled eggs folded over with cheddar sprinkled over it (yuck). Our rooms were cozy but comfortable and we will definitely return when business brings us back to Wilkes-Barre.'s a tip - get a room in the tower so that noise from the nightclubs on the property (after all, it's a resort and resorts have night clubs) does not bother you.

Would definitely stay again!!
Great place to stay! Beautiful, woodsy, great service, clean, and great restaurants. Tanya at the front desk upgraded us when our neighbors TV was very loud and I didn’t think I would be able to sleep. Our new room had a beautiful view of the creek outside our balcony. Larry and Darian and the rest of the restaurant staff were outstanding and accommodating and made sure we had food when the lights went out and the storm hit. They took care of us while worried about their family and friends. We would definitely stay again if we are ever out that way again. The Valencia’s from CA

Awful awful awful
The Woodlands was dated, the keys kept failing, the room offered through was near the parking lot for the on-site club evolution, so was very loud until very late. Additionally the mirror on the bathroom door was gone and yet the glue spots were all over it (replace it or clean and repaint the door). Maid service was poor (left ironing board and iron out when they cleaned). The staff at check-in we’re not knowledgeable and had trouble getting cards to work so we could get in room (manager had to let us in with maids card). Overall a pretty poor experience. Luckily I do not have much reason to go to Wilkes Barre often, but any number of other hotels surely would be better. Angry I wasted my free night on The Woodlands

Memorial Day Weekend
Over all we had a nice stay at the Woodlands Inn. There was a few things I would have like to have changed. One was there was a family staying next to us with a small child that was was constantly crying. The crying woke us up very early each morning. If I wanted to listen to a children cry I would have brought my own kids. I wish they would put all the family together on one floor! Another thing was when we went to use the jacuzzi the jets weren’t working. That was pretty disappointing! Also a suggestion I have about the night club. Get the tables off the dance floor, so there’s more room for people to dance. Otherwise our stay was good.
