Brisbane Riverview Hotel, Hamilton

We were overall quite disappointed in our stay with this hotel. The pictures are misleading and the pool looks nothing like what we imagined and was very dirty with only three pool chairs on the deck. Also, there was a sign next to the front desk that claimed free happy hour and canapés on Wednesday evening which was confirmed by the man checking us in but when we showed up, they said they decided to cancel the event since they were already paying their employees double time for a holiday. Employees expected guests to fill our their own use of the mini-bar contents, rather than restocking and charging during your stay. In short, it seems like management has taken many short-cuts in their customer service, leaving the responsibility to the employees to make the guests feel more welcome as a result. Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Room and amenities are great.. room cleanliness was somewhat substandard, But overall, was a top place to stay by the river and would definitely​ stay again.

Great one night stay at the Brisbane Riverview. Best part was the free bikes they have for hire to ride around the Riverwalk - perfect way to see the city if you only have a couple hours like we did. Only less than satisfactory part was our wifi connection was pretty bad - made it a little hard when you're traveling and rely on wifi.

enjoyed the river view hotel. Room was very nice and hotel bar was nice.

We stayed overnight before a conference at Springwood.
