The Queen Mary, Long Beach
It's a disgrace that the Queen Mary could have so many empty rooms and still book two rooms side by side. The walls are paper thin, The people in the room next to me weren't loud, but I could hear every sound. The beauty and charm of a 100 year old ship wears just as thin as the walls when you have to get up early for a trade show the next morning and get very little sleep. There is nothing less charming than a toilet that doesn't flush properly because the plumbing hasn't been updated for 100 years. I stayed one night and checked out and no I didn't expect them to refund the second night and they lived up to my expectations. They did offer to move me to another room, but I figured if they had all these extra rooms they could have given me one in the first place. Not a pleasant experience.

Stay before the Cruise
very enjoyable, nice clean room, very friendly and pleasant staff. We were able to brush up on our history by going to the museums. Restaurants are a little pricy, however the food was good.

Wonderful Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at The Queen Mary. We celebrated our anniversary and even though the rooms are a little pricey, it was well worth it. We had a cruise scheduled and it was great to walk across the parking lot to get to the ship. The history of the ship is amazing and the personnel is wonderful. We celebrated with a dinner at the Sir Winston, the food was excellent. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend the Queen Mary.

The Queen Mary, Long Beach
The room was much smaller than our previous stay in June even though it was a "Deluxe" room with a king bed. The bedding was another issue; the pillows were hard and what was supposed to be a "fitted" sheet, was in fact a flat sheet that was not long enough to cover the foot of the bed. Other than the linens, the room was fairly clean and had a nice view of the harbor. The Captain's Reception was very nice, with the free champagne. The breakfast buffet was good but rather limited. The staff is always very courteous and informative. Hotel is centrally located with the Red Bus stop just across the way and will take you to the Village and Downtown Long Beach.
