The Pines Resort, Bass Lake
Very Good8.0
The stay was okay, we booked a room with a jetted tub however the jets did not work. The fossil of the jetted tub was also broken and loose. The tv was not rotatable so it was hard to watch it if you weren’t laying on the bed. Ordered room service but was told they could not deliver it to our room. Overall the stay and view was good.

Book it. Now.
Loved this resort! They have everything. A beautiful lake, boating, fishing, nearby hiking, swimming pool, a hot tub, great restaurants, a grocery market, etc. etc. etc. The 2 bdrm chalet comfortably slept 8 adults (if you bring a blow up mattress for the loft and sleeping bags). I was worried about it being 80 minutes from central Yosemite but it's only about 20 minutes from the entrance and there is lots to do and see on the way to central. Would love to come back and stay at The Pines Resort and Conference Center!

The rickety stairs are not for tired legs!
We stayed in chalet 113, it was ok. After staying in the Yosemite Valley this place was kind of a let down. The "mountain view" was of some young pines that were about 2 feet from the deck. Overall if you are just visiting the Bass Lake area this is a convent place; the kitchen area was nice and handy. It was tiring going up/down the rickety stairs just to use the bathroom after the long hikes we did. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we ate a few times at Ducey's - which was very good. A family with kids would like this place- it had a playground close by.

just maybe the absolute worst hotel i've ever stayed at. Super outdated, restaurant food is TERRIBLE and outrageously overpriced, bedroom was like a dungeon and the mattress put my back into a spasm (and i'm a generally fit and able bodied person). I would literally never, ever, ever stay here again. Looks like being one of the only properties on the lake has made it so they haven't had to update anything since 1983
