Maison 140, Beverly Hills
No way is this boutique luxe has to remove the pictures of the pool because there’s no pool at this location despite charging a “resort fee”. Most of the pictures you see in the listing are for their sister property around the corner: It felt like a bait and switch. We got in late... the bar was not open and this property has no kitchem. The room was filled with odd smells (people partying too hard) covered up with cleaner and heavy deodorizer. The bathroom barely fits one person which isn’t that big a deal for a boutique hotel but the decor was dark and very heavy handed for such small room. The carpets in the entire place have to be replaced. There is no way that this is, on any level, boutique luxury if when they offer coffee in the morning there’s no milk or cream but just a little containers of fake creamer. This is a small thing but it’s indicative of the attention to detail. They could easily have real milk or cream because the refrigerator for the bar is right there. I was looking forward to making this my stop for business trips, but it was such a shame. They missed the mark.

Close to good coffee and transit
Great, affordable option for Beverly Hills. Close to coffee and transit. Room decor very SoCal throwback but comfy.

Hotel charges additional fees
Hotel charges additional fees. It's a bad practise that makes compaing hotels difficult even if these fees might be mentioned in small print on the hotel description.
