Awesome Experience
This was an awesome experience! It was very close to the freeway exit. The room had two queen beds for our family of three. We had a microwave and a refrig. I highly recommend this hotel! Anytime I am in or close to Santa Rosa, I will stay at this hotel! 3-stars is under rated!

Americas Best Value Inn & Suites - Santa Rosa, CA
There were 3 issues that arose after my initial good ratings. The first: the door keys wouldn't open the door and we had to have the night manager come and help us get into the room. The second, the internet. I couldn't get on until the next manager reset the internet, but even then, I kept getting disconnected and had to shut off and restart my computer because the connection kept terminating. The third, we asked for a 6:30 am wake up call because the check-in guy said breakfast started at 6:30. We had to be at another location by 8:30 so we figured this time would give us time to get up, get ready, have breakfast and be off in time. At 7:00 a.m. we finally awoke ourselves without the wake up call. When we checked with the desk in the AM to inquire why, it was discovered that the wakeup call was set to military time for 6:30 PM -- aka 1830 hrs. All this should not have happened. We picked this hotel because it had better fan ratings than others, but with these three problems, our view of this particular motel is not getting a favorable rating that we normally give. There was plenty of light in the room, particularly over the sink area which is great if you are a woman who wants to see to put on your face. The bathroom was clean, the room was clean as well. For the price we paid for the room, it was satisfactory for our needs, but we weren't offered any refund for the room key/wake up call problem..

WORST MATTRESS EVER
I've used this hotel a few times as it is convenient and less expensive than others nearby. My past stays have been acceptable but this stay was quite miserable. The king size bed in Rm 209 was the WORST mattress I have ever slept on....extremely hard with a weird top layer like a an futon had been thrown on top of a bad mattress. If you stay here, be sure to check the mattress before you accept the room. Some have new pillow top mattresses and others don't.....a huge difference.

Over priced for what is was.
TV was a old CRT. WiFi did not work. So called breakfast was cereal but no milk and no place to sit and eat it. The room was small and the arrangement of furniture was not given much thought. The local restaurants where very poor especially Applebees. My wilderness survival skills came in handy.

Not the best, go elsewhere
Room was VERY small. Furniture was too large for such a small space which made it easy to hit your head on hard corners of furniture, as the placement of a coat shelf was eye level. Clock radio was not working and was unplugged upon arrival. Why can't housekeeping plug it in instead of inconveniencing the guest? Bed had no comforter and the room was freezing (stayed in cold December). Had to ask for comforter and blanket. Advertised as having breakfast but there is no "breakfast room". The tiny, and I mean tiny lobby has a few small muffins and yogurts you can take back to your room. No big deal here! Coffee maker in the room was hard to get working as the coffee pot was not the original that came with the maker. There was a thick black covering of years of dust in the shower....Gross! Guess it was too difficult for Maria in Housekeeping to wipe this! Upon check in the manager at the counter said i had a reservation for one day, when I booked for 3 nights! They couldn't even get their own reservation system in check! The room also had one of those creepy attic doors, and I watched enough horror films to know that is not a good sign. If we hadn't arrived so late from a 12 hour drive to get there, I would have switched rooms. I will not stay here again. For the money, I'm sure you can find something more updated and worth the price.
