Property Needs Attention To Detail
We arrived on a hot, humid day with temps in the 90's. We were told that rooms were being awarded on a first come first served basis, and that all that was available was a 5th floor, 2-double bed room. We booked a "King" room, but we were denied one. In addition, the elevator was out of service, and we had to walk up 5 flights of stairs in a steamy stairwell. In our room, the AC sounded like an aging and barely operable diesel truck. It pumped air, but not very cool air.The next morning we went down to a sub par breakfast that had been nearly been picked through in its entirety by a girls travel softball team. We have stayed in many Laquinta hotels before, and this one just did not measure up. I felt like I was staying in a poorly-run Motel 6.

Wreck!
Elevator wasn't working,an nothing was mentioned on the website I'm an amputee on crutches so this was a nightmare! If that wasn't enough we got back to our room at 1100 to find out that the AC wasn't working either,it was 101* an high humidity all day, I have circulation issues an other medical issues, I got sick...it was horrible! They had us change rooms at midnight to one with AC that worked,well sort of, still needed a fan, an the one they brought up didn't work. Needless to say worst hotel experience ever!No manager on duty because weekend, but person behind the desk offered to discount my room my 1/2 , so that part was OK, as far as I'm concerned I should have been given a complete refund an credit for another night at the price I paid to stay somewhere else, because I will be back in the same area next weekend, but you can bet I won't stay there again!

The elevator was not working and we had to carry all our luggage up to the third floor and the entire hotel smelled like cigarettes (including our room) we will not return

Fifth floor room needs a re-do.
The room was booked as a non-smoking room, but the smell was bad. Despite the staff's attempt to spray, it was not good. The front desk stated that the fifth floor was reportedly a previous smoking floor, when we asked for another room. The hotel has promised a reduction in our rate as a result-hopefully we will see that happen, and we appreciate it. If you are allergic to smoke, this room would not have been inhabitable.
