You get what you pay for, I guess?
Recommended that I stay at this hotel from a friend I was seeing on my KC trip. While it wasn't horrible, it wasn't great. PROS: Free wifi (when it works) Free parking Good location for going around KCMO CONS: Housekeeping failed to clean my room on my final day Refigerator in the room wasn't working at all Wifi went down constantly 2 of the 3 nights I was there Shower/bath plumbing backed up on my final night (and at too late a time to try to get it fixed) If I return to KC I'll likely stay elsewhere.

Poor 2.0
Hot water barely turned on in shower. Only stated one night and didn’t know until morning when any traveler is likely trying to get out of room. Water was like a very light rain, like a sprinkle 😡. 1 towel when I checked in...called to get more, took two calls to get them. Shower floor dirty, stained - GROSS. Desk chair so old it wouldn’t move up from lowest sitting position. Overall the hotel needs to be closed, completely remodeled and basically start over. Good area but that’s it. I’d understand more if it was $35 bucks a night but it was $130.

50/ 50 take your chances
The 4 pm check in is inconvenient, the shared parking lots is over crowded and lacks necessary ADA parking. The ADA accessible entrance has no awning for protection from the elements. Staff is friendly but unfeeling about inconvniences for guests. When we inquired about ADA parking we were basically told we were out of luck and when we asked about evengeneral parking we were directed to an apartment complex with assurances we “most likely won’t be towed”. Being in wheel chair it made the check in and the coming and going from the hotel difficult. There were cars without ADA tags or placards displayed in the ADA parking. The lobby always seems crowded and chaotic early morning into the evening. Rooms are comfortable and clean, a few minor issues such as the bathroom door being difficult to close. In the middle of the night our phone started blinking red for no particular reason. The televisions are difficult to use and have no real guide to help guest know which stations are available. Were invited to have complimentary drink but it was really just a draft beer. The hallways we’re filled with loud and often inappropriate noise and conversation at all hours of the day and night. The cleaning staff began running the hallway vacuum very early in the morning and it sounded as if they were in our room as we tried to sleep. This hotel has the potential to be a must stay jewel or a must miss pile of bricks. Hopefully they will make the changes to move closer to being a jewel.

It was ok, but expected quieter room and updated.

Fair 4.0
The photos of the hotel are deceiving. The given room was not representative of the boutique style hotel advertised. The exterior of the hotel is run down. The bathroom door was a sliding, barn door style which allowed for no privacy as it did not cover the door frame entirely. The elevator was dirty and the hallway lighting was very dark. The beds were comfortable.
