Holy Ants Batman!
When I went to check-in, the couple in front of me (woman had wet hair) was very upset as she was taking a shower and the water was shut off. The front desk clerk said the hotel shut the shower off as there was a leak in the hotel....clerk told the girl it might be an hour or two....not apologetic....she really didn't seem to care. I checked and they told me there was no water...that was fine and I understood...however, the next morning when I got up there were ants everywhere....all over the night stand, the bed and the table where the coffee maker was...I went and told the front desk clerk...he also was uninterested and said he'd let the cleaners know....not impressed with the place...and, they still use styrofoam cups for coffee.....the place is tired.....furniture is from the 80s. The shower had a big crack through the tub....needs an update....I'd give it a 5 out of 10

Good hotel but expensive
Overall okay, probably wouldn’t come here again. We came for our honeymoon, it was very expensive but we were okay with that price if the service was good but it wasn’t. Upon check in, the front desk didn’t even give us a welcome or description of the hotel (amenities etc). She just said, “you heard what I said to the other guests right?” The rooms are nice, we had the suite which had amazing views and the fireplace & bathroom was great. Although we were given a downgraded room from what we actually booked (less square feet, reduced view). We requested no housekeeping because of COVID but they still came into our room to give us a honeymoon gift (which was really nice) so just bring extra cleaning supplies. The service at the restaurant was very poor, takes forever to even get a glass of water. We ordered room service which came 1.5 hours later and they forgot half our items. The hotel is very eco friendly which is a great but it really means you can’t get any ice or water there, so if you are coming bring your own bottled waters. They include bicycles which was awesome to bike to see the cliffs but they don’t have any baskets so bring a book bag for extra water etc.

A Below Average motor inn
The location was good, was In the center of everything but Very over priced for a very mediocre hotel. No complimentary breakfast/fresh made coffee. The rooms were nothing special. Nothing fancy, nothing modern. The room comfort was below my standards. Bed was ok but there was one cheap desk chair and one not so comfortable room chair. Bathroom was tiny with a tiny sink. First time in Newport. I will like to come back but not going to choose this hotel

Worst hotel experience ever
Not a pleasant stay AT ALL. The first room we were put in was on the third floor across from the elevator. The table outside the elevator was supposed to have a ship model attached- but someone ripped it off and there were several screws protruding from the base- my daughter got a nasty scrape on her hand when she was waiting for me to open the door. All through the night the noise of people getting on and off the elevator kept us up. The next day I complained and requested to move. We were placed on the first floor. I had a horrible nights sleep and woke up with a backache that was brutal. When I went to open the window I found out why. The bed was completely off the foundation. I found this out when I nailed my shin on the metal edge of the frame and sliced my leg open. I tried to move the bed back onto the frame but it weighed too much for me. When we left for the day I told the front desk and was told it would be fixed. NOPE! We came back very late and it was still off. I ended up taking my daughters bed and she slept on the floor. I wasn’t going to move at midnight and we needed to be up by 6 am for our flight. I will NEVER stay here again.

The gentleman at the front desk excellent customer service it was very busy he apologized to me for not being able to help me quickly !! Hats off to him also the staff that took care of the cleanliness of the rooms excellent attitude very helpful ,they didn't have attitudes or sour faces. Always greeted us in the morning, we will be going back.
