Hotel needs updating
As previous reviews have stated, this hotel needs some serious remodeling/updating. The price is about the same as other hotels that are nicer/newer. This hotel was close to my office, so after viewing the pictures, I decided to ignore the reviews. However, I can confirm that the hotel interiors are very old, worn, and outdated. Examples: air conditioning knobs are the old 70s era knobs you'd find on stereos; the bed is so worn that you feel the springs inside; there's an older model separate bidet (not the toilet seat kind); cabinets more than usual scratches on them. But that being said, if you're ok with all this, the staff itself is very nice and friendly. The bell hop/concierge is courteous and helpful. The exterior is well maintained, and the location is very convenient.

I personal thought that hotel reminded me of main land china, and not the same quality as the other Fullerton hotels that I have stayed at in Taipei. I am sorry to say that I will not be back. Hotel room was worn down and furniture was not really for sitting in.

Run down reception
I certainly will not give this hotel 4 stars. The rooms are big but everything else is old and run down.

Close to Chia Te Pastry - Best in TW
The location is not entirely ideal because of the lack of proximity to a MRT station. However, it is within 2 minutes walking distance to Chia Te Pastry, award winning and the best in Taiwan. Just a street behind, there is Ding Wang Steamboat. You will have to reserve a seat, and the earliest we could get was at 11.30 PM on a weekday. The hotel is old, and needs a refurbishment soon. However, the attitude of the staff is first class, which makes up for the old facade.
