Friendly staff, nice breakfast each morning, great location. More than pleased with our stay. Parking located directly next to the hotel, reasonable rates.

Average to just a little disappointing.
The stay was OK little bit awkward sitting room because the bed almost touched the bathroom, making it hard to get through the room. The valet parking guy was a little awkward and plus it was way overly expensive! The check in customer service guy was very friendly and open on telling us where we should go to the dinner. At least offer your guest free coffee as well please...

Squeaky bed squeaky floor Lobby attendant did not
Went to the Strathcona with my family. We had two rooms. Both me and my wife's room had a very squeaky bed. The bed was so squeaky that every time someone moved or turned at night the other person would wake up so basically we did not sleep for 2 days. Now my father and his wife were in the room next to us. And they had the same problem but their bed was even more squeaky than ours. Not only was their beds squeaky when my father would go to the bathroom in the night he would walk on the floor and the floor would squeak to waking up my mother. This made our stay very uncomfortable because we could not get proper rest. Oh by the way the rooms are very very very small. So if you're looking for a hotel where you and your partner will not be able to get a good night's sleep this will be the one for you. The lobby was renovated nicely but it's clear to see is very very old building and I think the beds are probably from 30 years ago as they are so old. We complained with the front desk who said they were going to look at the beds and they never did they did not offer us anything or you not even a complimentary drink or breakfast for our discomfort they did not really care about our problem they just wanted us to go away. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and neither will my wife my father or mother is very disappointing to spend a lot of money and then not be able to sleep.

The hotel was great because, everything was centralized, and Union station was down the street. The WIFI needs improvement. The next time I visit Toronto I would stay at the Strathcona.

Nice Hotel
Easy walk to the train station. 9th floor quieter than 5th floor. Small room but that's not a problem.
