Nice hotel near the subway system and shopping center. Very helpful staff. Good restaurant next to hotel. Comfortable though a bit old.

Good for a city break
The hotel is in a good location, close to the train station (CAT). The breakfast in pretty good, with many options. The sound insulation in the rooms is not that good and the rooms are rather small. The windows are really old.

Stay away!
Stay away from this hotel! We booked 4 nights at the Suite which was a real disappointment and made us wonder what rooms would be like if the most expensive Suite has terribly hard mattress, clumpy synthetic pillows and sloped ceiling in the shower stall which makes really hard to shower. The elevator goes only to the third floor and you have to walk long corridors and climb another flight of stairs to reach your room. We have no mobility issue but it’s scary to think what it would do to the older person. The cable stone pathway running through the hotel looks cute but it’s very loud affecting all rooms. When we first walked in the Suite we thought it looked like unfortunate train station- long corridor with strangely planned spaces & tiny bedroom at the end. We were shocked and called downstairs but receptionist Melanie only gave us attitude and just kept repeating that hotel is full and nothing she can do. To our comment that Suite is completely different from what was pictured on the hotel’s website she snapped back that not all 200 rooms can be pictured.. well, in business it’s called misleading. We moved out to another hotel to get a normal night sleep and came back only for last night because of our flight next morning. We finally got hold of hotel’s manager who was nice and said that he would try to move us but it was under time pressure so we declined. Our request to get better pillows & mattress top resulted in more bad pillows and folded blanked under bed sheet...

Somewhat historic, close to Mitte Train Station
Interesting hotel close to the Mitte train station. The hotel is in an unusual old building and runs along two long corridors that look out on an alleyway. Restaurants and other shops are on the alleyway. Nice room with "period" wooden furniture, very nice, clear and with a very friendly staff. There is a large buffet breakfast in the restaurant with made-to-order omelets. I would stay there again but definitely need to use the public transit system to get around -- get a day pass.
