Be aware...it's in a shady part of town!
Our family stayed here while we were in Vancouver BC because frankly, the price was right and the location seemed OK. Well, the location was NOT OK! Keep in mind that it is located in the "shadier" part of Vancouver, close to marijuana shops and adult bookstores. It was not pleasant walking to dinner past these places. We'll never pick this particular Ramada again because of this. However, having said that, the front desk staff were nice and friendly and helpful in answering questions about sights, etc.

Good location, ok hotel condition.
As others have said, the hotel is convenient to downtown Vancouver sites, shopping and restaurants, but is in a more and more run-down part of town. There are a lot of homeless people that sleep in doorways of businesses within the two blocks up and down Granville from the hotel. Not a place to take a family or my wife, but ok for me alone as adult male. I never felt unsafe, but would be uncomfortable bringing kids, especially girls, to the area. I was upgraded from a room to a suite, which was basically a room with a fridge and microwave added, and a couch. It was smaller than other hotel rooms I have had in Vancouver recently, but it was tolerable. The bed was just fine. Wifi is free and surprisingly fast, at least in my room. The hotel interior itself needs an update. Dingy carpets and walls. Stains on carpets in halls. But, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and nice to talk to. No complaints there at all. The fitness center access is outside, around the corner in a nearby fitness studio, so not at all convenient, especially considering the sketchy neighborhood. My normal evening exercise just didn't work under those circumstances. But, the hotel is within good walking distance to lots of amazing restaurants. For breakfast, definitely to to the Croissanterie, a half a block away. Amazing real French pastries baked fresh every day. Amazing breakfast. Better than Timmy's any day!

Eh
The hotel is in a pretty decent spot in downtown, a bit sketchy but very busy traffic area. There's lots of warnings to not leave valuables in your vehicle, wherever you go in Canada. Apparently, their crime rate of car break-ins is very high, even in the nice areas of Vancouver. Hotel itslef is pretty well secured as far as getting in and out. Walls are thin, so you will be able to hear your neighbors. 2 bedroom was a bit small, but we made it work. Bathroom was decent size. Hot water there gets super hot so be careful.

Nice rooms
Definitely great location for night life. The bars don't close til 3 am so if you don't mind hearing bass sounds throughout the night it's a great place. Great breakfast and bar has great character. Hallway needs some work but the room was awesome.

Stopped in for a few nights. The hotel is perfectly located as Davie Street is a great street for restaurants (Samurai Sushi, La Brasserie, Thai Basil, etc.) and is never more than a 20 min walk away from other parts of downtown. It's close to the Skylink and right by a bus stop in case you wanna head down to Kits and elsewhere. The front desk staff were very kind and accommodating, while the room was clean and the shower was hot and had good water pressure. Most of all, for the price (in USD), there's nothing downtown that's really lower.
