    Comfortable, but a little damp.

    The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were not as nice as I might hope for the price. The first room we were assigned was by the pool, but also by the laundry and it had a heavy odor of mildew and was not cool. However, when we asked to be reassigned, the staff was friendly and courteous and promptly moved us to a different room. The new room was much drier, but still a little damp. I suspect that has more to do with the summer weather in Chesapeake than with the hotel itself. The air conditioners are probably working themselves to death. Perhaps an investment to upgrade the a/c units or include dehumidifiers in the room might be worthwhile. In all, I did not note much difference between this room and the hotel I stayed in a month ago in Florida for half the price.

    Needs renovation

    Staff was great but i hope this hotel is mext on the list for a renovation. Rooms are dated and furniture / carpet worn. Bar was closed, pool closed, door to back garden broken so you couldn't even go out there. It was a lot of money for a hotel that didn't live up to whar you'd expect from a Marriott brand.

    It had a exercise center which convenient for my wife. The breakfast center was not in service. I was told not til September which makes no sense,being that convid has been kinda lifted and some normalcy is coming back in the world and not to mentioned the kick off to Summer!!

    Grounds were beautiful however the lobby, building our room was in and our room smelled musty. Our bed didn’t look like it was made but the clean sticker was on the outside of door. Carpet felt damp and rug was stained. Shocked this property was owned by Hilton.

    Not Expectations of Marriotts

    They had to change me several times due to stains on bedding..Staff was very friendly and understanding..Very disappointed due to Marriotts are usually extremely satisfying. They explained that since Covid-19 they were about to undergo upgrade but things delayed since pandemic..Staff was excellent..sleep was comfortable..all the bedskirts dirty..furniture was duty in some rooms..clean sheets for the most part..Not Marriott standards use to. Overall quite and smell clean just not the 10 scale. The staff I would give a 10.

    Worse vacation ever

    I booked the room for me and my daughter, it says pool and breakfast nothing was said about pool being closed , then find out no breakfast. My view was air conditioner unit, was supposed to have balcony. . Asked for towels they said they didn't have any to wash.

    My room had a balcony with a view of the parking lot. The room was not clean during my stay. I did see the cleaning woman on the floor when I left my room about 10 am and when I came back to the room she was still in the floor three-door room down in the same spot talking on her phone. I was also unhappy about the rate change when I arrived I book the room for $178 and when I check-in I was told that the rate will be $202.00 because of the rate where schedule to increase the next day. I had no notice and not sure why they did not honor or offer to keep the rate which I book the room for.
