Prytania Park Hotel, New Orleans
Excellent choice for your New Orleans vacation
Loved the “New Orleans” look of the place. Brought my granddaughter for graduation and she loved the loft. Front desk and maids were very friendly and helpful. It was a very quiet place and the free parking was a big plus. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. It’s in the Garden District which was very cute but not so congested and busy as the French Quarters but close enough to be able to get there quickly if you wanted to. I rented a car but only used it to do things out of the area. It was way easier to just use Uber than to try and park in the Quarters. Only thing I would say about the hotel it self was the contents breakfast was not what I was use to from other hotel stays. Not a lot of selections and nothing for a diabetic. Not a big deal because there are several places in the area within walking distance.

Amazing location
A quaint and centrally located hotel in New Orleans. Clean and well equip. The second story bedroom with a spiral staircase was a hit with our 13 year old. We were very pleased with this hotel and it stay at it again. If I could get it 10 stars for location and convenience of public transportation I would. The staff was friendly and helpful. No extra charge for parking was a huge plus. Parking was secure off street parking lot. Light breakfast included.

Try somewhere else
Pros: Friendly staff, fridge/microwave in the room, courtyard is gorgeous, near fun bars/restaurants, quiet, good wifi Cons: Tiny (difficult to get into the bathroom tiny), moldy shower, floor was mysteriously damp, stained comforters This hotel could be really great but it needs some work. From what I gathered from the locals we talked to, we probably could have found better value elsewhere.

The room smell like mold soon as we walked in and after showering we discovered mold was on the ceiling over the shower.

Hidden gem
Originally was skeptical due to previous reviews, I'm glad I went and booked it. They have the most amazing beds and pillows. My 9 year old loved the lofted bed upstairs and we were completely ok with spiral staircase. Other reviewers mentioned condition of hotel. You come to New Orleans for its atmosphere, culture, and amazing architecture and honestly loved the uniqueness of this hotel. Knowing I wasn't staying at a bland, everyday, run of mill Hilton type hotel made it even better. The room was well appointed having a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It reminded me of a little German chalet. The area the hotel is in is the Garden district , with well appointed classic architere. At no time did I feel unsafe being in the area. I would not hesitate to book again.
