Good
Ok, great meat and great with a icey juice. Room was ok, vanity blocked, no ice tray and lever on the toilet (flush hane) not working too . Handed a note to the reception first day but when we left 3 days later nothing had been done. Aircon was bery noisy. Room was clean. Roof top bar (big draw card) was closed due to renovation. Biggest issue: We asked the concierge about floating markets and the palace and he was very quick to organise a taxi for the day and told us 1400 for private taxi all day and 500/person for palace..."there will be some fee for market ticket". How much? "Some fee".Well that fee was 2000 baht each. Markets are ok but we are looking at 6400 for the day and over 4 hours in the back of a cab. We did phiphi islands tour with speed boat, snorkling and an awesome lunch for a similar price.taxi driver was on the phone (on 3 phones all the time actually...bloody impressive multitasking in Bangkok traffic) to one of the girls at the market organising tickets and chit chatting. Markets are VERY same same. You can get a pickup and drop off AND market tour for less than half price. Concierge and taxi driver seemed rather friendly though. Prices in the hotel reataurants was way higher(probably expected but to pay similar price for a feed in Thailamd as inAustralia is a bit steep) than good restaurants nearby. Sukhumvit is rather expensive place in Thailand though. If you get a good deal through Wotif or other app then its ok. Just do some research on pricing.

Poor
This hotel really sucks! No one helped me with my heavy luggage and check-in upon arrival. There were 5 receptionists and only 2 groups of customers and yet, they just let me waiting even though I asked them to hurry up coz I was tired and wanted to get to my room asap. Then the wifi in the room did not work. When I called reception, they asked me to come down to show me how to connect. I insisted that they sent someone to my room instead, as it was in my opinion a technical issue and not a connection issue. The guy who came up was the same who checked me in earlier. And he suggested to wait til the next morning because their IT dept was closed and he didn't know how to fix the issue. It was only around 7pm and I insisted that he find someone to help me as I still had lots of work to do. It's ridiculous that they don't have any technical support after 6pm! The next morning I wanted to order in-room breakfast, but most of the items on the menu was not available. And the guy spoke very poor English. I had to request him to ask someone to call me back asap who understands English. I ordered a pastry basket and I got 4 slices of toasts! The coffee latte I ordered was pure coffee with milk and just horrible. And they charged me THB300 for this! These people really have no idea how to run a hotel at all. You end up telling them literally what and how to do things there.

Very Good
Great location & facilities
This is a hard to beat "value for money" hotel. The location combined with all the facilities at the hotel I would have expected it to cost a lot more. sure somethings maybe could be renewed/renovated - but everything works (good wifi too), Everything is fresh and clean. Like our room, we booked a deluxe room, it was fine but had an "old feeling" with walltowall carpets, darker colors - then we booked another room for our daughter for a few days and got a regular superior room (cheaper) but it was fresher with hardwood floors which gave a "newer" feeling (next time I would go for the cheaper superior room...), our deluxe did hava a nicer view and windows in two directions. Aircon in room was a bit noicy - high, med, low setting didnt change it so problably a duct problem and not the fan. Big hotel, lots of tourists so the pool gets crowded at times. The poolarea is nice, attentive staff, nice food from the italian restaurant next to it, nice bathroom facilities by the pool and a nice gym, plenty of equipment (and like i said before, it all works). Four (i think) restaurants within hotel so you have choises, and plenty of more within minutes on the soi (best one is Lean on tree, costs a few baht more, but really good, levels better than the other ones close to the hotel), really nice skybar, good drinks, nice view, dont miss Gin & Jazz night (try Iron Balls gin). Perfect place in Bangkok, 15 min (tops) walk to BTS,MRT, at their prices I find this a bargain, recommended.

18 extraordinarily pleasant days
In April and May, I stayed 18 extraordinarily pleasant days at the Rembrandt Hotel in Bangkok to recover from health issues . Expedia organized the combined flight, hotel and transfer very efficient and without flaws. In this way I could spare several hundreds of euros Everything was well taken care of: the staff were friendly and well trained. Especially the way in which the wishes of the guests were met, and also common problems were solved, I found very professional. In many other hotels, these things are often left to be desired. The breakfast buffet is generous with thai and western specialities. The flow of people even on top days well organized. A tuk tuk belonging to the hotel could bring you, if you wished, free of charge to the main road at the end of the side street near the Sky train station. My room was spacious, 30 m2, and light, the bed large and nice. The bathroom had a bath and a shower. The toilet was clean and worked properly. in the hotel there were 4 diverse restaurants (Mexican, Indian, Italian and Thai), their food was tasty and the prices were reasonable. The hotels swimming pool on the fourth floor is known for swimming, sun bathing and its view over the town. The location of the hotel in the centre of Bangkok on a quiet side street (with many other restaurants) was convenient, also in view of the public transport with a Skytrain station very near, and taxi’s and tuk tuk can be easily found in the street. I am still so happily impressed that I wi

Family vacation 3 days
As a family who relies heavily on reviews, but never writes them, we felt it was necessary to start. (+) Taxi about 400-600 baht from airport. (+) Kids loved the bunk beds. (+) Pool was great. My 5 year old daughter could stand in the shallow area and my 3 year old loved jumping in the deeper end. (+) The hotel's Thai restaurant was the best Thai food we had, albeit it more expensive than other options. (+) The Coffee Club next door was our morning breakfast spot. (+/-) The wifi was great, but the TV channels were limited. So don't expect to find anything on the TV for kids to watch. (+) The Asiatique Market is something the whole family will enjoy, a must go. It's just a hop away with the BTS (the concierge helped us) and then a short boat ride. Few things we learned. Go earlier than later, especially if you have young kids. Take a map from the concierge desk and circle your BTS stops. Buy day passes, which will work as long as you don't stay out past midnight. There are so many security guards at the BTS to help, it was impressive. Always felt safe, I just pointed to the stop on the map, and they would point to the train. Just listen for your stop to get off (it's in English) one change and ask another security guard. Final destination, follow people, get on the boat to the left. We accidentally got on the wrong boat, which we had to wait to cross the river and then back again. (-) Skip the floating market, it's kind of a tourist trap
