Nice place between the restaurant and shopping rows of 21st and 23rd, just north of downtown. Staff is very friendly!

Close to downtown, yet quiet
Friendly, competent staff, good coffee/fruit/cookies in the lobby 24/7, convenient to Providence Park MAX station and the buses on Burnside...An in-room fridge would have been good but hardly detracted from our enjoyment of our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros and Cons
It's not as nice as pictured on the website, but the neighborhood was all right. It's old but effort to maintain is evident. The shower head is very basic, but functional. The beds creeked and squeaked, but sizeable and comfortable. We could hear the morning traffic and the first night the people in the next room was noisy, slammed their doors shut several times, and kept bumping the thin walls until 1:00 a.m. The next morning we requested another room and was given a room down the hall that gave us a much better night sleep for our long drive home. The Front Desk was gracious about it and accommodating. The rooms do not have a refrigerator, but does have coffee. There is plenty of parking at no additional cost and the Max is conveniently close. A short walk is Elephants, a scrumptious, deli/confectionery, a pizzeria, Starbucks, and Walgreens. It's walking distance to Providence, but no event the two days we were there. Exiting our room gave us a view of the three snow-capped mountains: Adams, St. Helens, and Hood. If you spend your entire day out and about only to return to freshen up and sleep, this is adequate.
