Lovely Time, as usual.
It was for my birthday and it was wonderful. I stay at Hotel Andaluz almost everytime I visit ABQ overnight. It is by far one of my favorite hotels.

Great older hotel, neighborhood not so great
The hotel was an older hotel that has been kept up for awhile, which ended up being pretty neat. The rooms were larger than most rooms we have stayed in with modern facilities (the whole room looked basically new). The parking was a confusing as they only offer valet parking, or you can park "at your own risk" in a private parking garage next door, which neither are really explained until you ask inside. DO NOT leave any valuables outside or visible inside your car. We had two fairly expensive bicycles locked twice on our car hitch, which a few guys ended up taking off within a minute (according to the guard that failed to guard anything). Keep in mind that the hotel will not compensate for your losses if you have items stolen (per their policy, which I understood), but also know that this neighborhood isn't great and it can/will happen. The police officer we talked to said something like this happened only a month ago, so I was fairly disappointed this wasn't brought to my attention before leaving my bicycles outside. Otherwise, the hotel itself was great for staying in, the downside was just the neighborhood, which is fine if you don't have any valuables with you.

Excellent Customer Service
I was staying for only one night...which was actually the next morning because of the Southwest Airlines fiasco...and the service in accomodating me for the all-to-brief stay at the Hotel Andaluz was outstanding.
