Not at that price
The rooms have been renovated, the bathroom very nice. The lobby and casino floor--filthy. Carpet worm and stained into a two-toned look. "Only room available" for $400 per night turned out to be on the third floor looking at a wall, smelling of old grease and French fries. Oddly, a second, less stuck/up receptionist found an open room on the 11th floor. Miracle? Or perhaps an earlier puts own for having booked on Hotels.com?

Meh
I should start by saying that I'm not into gambling so this hotels primary attraction is not a big deal for me. For me, it was just OK. Not great, not bad. Room was large and clean. The resort fee that is tacked onto the bill is a joke in my opinion. I found no resort benefits that justified that additional charge; just a backdoor way of charging more for the room in my opinion. With other excellent options in the Lake Tahoe area I won't go back.

This is and was a great Hotel. The Rooms were a little Stuffy: although no Hotel is perfect Montbleu was almost there. The High light of the trip was Jessica @ the front Desk helping my family have a great time and making sure we got a good deal. Now the best of the best is and was the In-door pool. WOW. Thank you MontBleu for a good Kick off to a New School year. See when the Snow has fallen and the Skies are running.

Don't be fooled by nice pictures
Positive: room was very large, bed was comfy. And the bathroom was huge. Cons: even on the 10th floor which I was reassured was all nonsmoking it still smells like stale cigarette smoke. The floors in hallways and the main lobby were gross. Doesn't look like they have cleaned them in years. Someone close to our room decided that they were going to smoke pot and do so multiple times throughout the day. We called to complained. First call, they were very upset said they would send someone up right away since our entire floor was supposed to be nonsmoking. A few hours later we come back to the room again, we opened our door and were hit like a wall with the smell. Called down again, staff was very rude asked "what am I supposed to do?" Again in the middle of the night I was woken up by the smell of pot. Very frustrating and disappointed with the staffs attitude. Who wants to smell pot all night long? Overall, I would not stay here again. For the money they charged for our weekend - not worth it at all! I'm sure you can find a better hotel a little further in which next time we visit we plan on doing! Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures of what it looks like!
