Great location
Great location opposite the obelisk on avenida 9th Julio (widest avenue in the world ) easy walking distance down Corrientes Diagonal ave 8th maio (Don't miss cafe tortoni ..oldest cafe..tango shows as well as superb coffee and last century elegance) teatro colon 2 blocks away also tango show a block away. Lovely patisserie 'alma ' opposite hotel. Walking tours leave from 2 locations not too far away. Hotel has restaurant and bar which was busy as opposed to many hotel bars. Nice breakfast and fun watching the manic traffic as you munch into delicious home made medialunos. Really friendly staff. Lovely stay but not long enough. Will definitely return. Some reports say it's tired but I thought it had the charm of the 1940s as opposed to the anonymous 'anywhere in the world's feel you get with chain hotels .

Fair 4.0
The room furniture looked old, my bed was composed of two single beds put together but it was very uncomfortable since the levels of both beds were uneven. My group almost left the hotel because the rooms were unacceptable (holes in the ceiling, beds breaking apart, uneven beds, and very old furniture). My crue and I didn't leave the hotel because then it will charge a penalty, and there were not rooms available in any other hotel. After complaining a lot to the staff, the hotel switched some of the rooms for others a little better and offered no charge for breakfast. I will NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

The hotel was in a good location. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked and was needed as it was 30 degrees out with high humidity. the bathroom was small and we did not get to use the shower as we left very early in the morning. The staff was very good; very helpful. hey booked us a cab for the airport and booked us into a Tango show ( which was very good )plus they called us in the morning even though we did not ask for a wake up call. I have recommended this hotel to friends already and would stay there again.

Nice Location - in serious need of an upgrade.
The hotel is in a great location in downtown Buenos Aires. We had a great view of the Obelisk. The room was cramped and in real need of a makeover. There was only one place to plug in our phones and that was behind the small refrigerator. Our room had two small twin beds. We had to leave early for the airport so cannot comment on the breakfast.

Great location overlooking the Obelisk.
Enjoyed our stay, especially the central location. Walking distance to old historic centre, Porteno Tango and Teatro Colon. Easy check-in. Reception staff were great, even printed our tour vouchers for us. Room has all basic necessities. There is a restaurant in the hotel which is very convenient when in a rush as restaurants in the city take a long time to serve you as food is freshly prepared.
