Great location
This is a quite location very close to everything. The staff was very attentive and professional. Especially Antonio, he gave excellent directions to some of the sites we planned to visit. Also his recommendations for restaurants on a couple evenings led to some very remarkable gastronomic experiences!

Look else where for extended stays
CONS: Air Conditioning system is broken, and by other reviews it has been for some time and not fixed. It was miserable. WI-FI was terrible, constantly went in and out. Beds were stiff and think mattress not very comfortable. Room layout was weird with toilette being in a small side room, with sink in a separate room that you had to walk across the room for.. This hotel is WAY to expensive for the last of comfort and issues it had... Pros: Staff was friendly Location was pretty good very close to Notre Dame Lobby Lovely (gave illusion room would be the same, it is not...)

I would highly recommend this hotel for any body on a quick trip to Paris. The location is perfect, the staff was attentive and the room was spacious. the only down side was the internet was spotty at best.

Best hotel in Paris.
The Melia Colbert was centrally located, just minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral and great shopping in Le Merais district as well as the Ile St. Louis. Wonderful staff, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. I'm already looking at my calendar to schedule my next vacation in Paris. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

There is no air conditioning in this hotel
I checked in on May 25. Nobody at the desk warned me that the air conditioner was broken. Entering the room we realized that the unit was blowing very hot air. When I could not get it to cool down I asked the front desk who very politely blamed the weather that it is unusually warm. Every day I was told that the unit will be fixed next day. The same statement repeated every day. We have been sleeping with the windows open every day. I wake up very tired every morning because it is hard to sleep with people running around making loud noises whole night. Additional noise starts as early as 5am with the garbage truck hauling the garbage and other vehicle running through. Tonight is our 4th night and no air conditioning, Last night the clerk offered to check another hotel for us. We are traveling with several pieces of luggage and it is not easy to just pack everything and move. I also found out from another customer that the air conditioner has been broken since last month. I strongly feel that the responsibility lies between Hotels.com and the hotel to let them know ahead of time or at least when they are checking in to tell the customer that they do not have working air conditioner and offer some compensation. I will be checking out tomorrow morning and I have not heard anything from the manager for the suffering though I have told the front desk how I have not been able to sleep straight even a single night. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
