Clean Hotel
Great staff...I requested a free upgrade and they game me a ocean front room! Buffet was good enough, all inclusive drinks were OK but they can definitely improve by offering a better quality brands. Overall, Pool is ok and the beach area is great.

Short vacation in Acapulco, Mexico
Overall, quite acceptable hotel, service, and food quality, and variation, although waiters too much tip-oriented, which should not be the case in a self-service, all-inclusive hotel

Mixed feelings but won't return
Like a lot of hotels in this aged city, the building is rough around the edges (literally, with pieces of the facade decayed). CUSTOMER SERVICE: Don't expect staff to be overly appreciative of your visit - they rarely greet with a smile and are pretty inattentive and unapologetic. Although we are Americans who communicate in Spanish, we could not get a friendly exchange from anyone upon our arrival. The first friendly outreach happened with the lady at the omelette bar on day two of our stay. She was the only person who expressed kindness, gratitude, and an interest in us. In fact, she was the first and only person to say simply, "Welcome to Acapulco." AMENITIES: We never used the pool because it was always packed with families. However, we used the beach cushions and umbrellas everyday. The beach is very clean and beautiful but there are a couple of drawbacks: 1) the beach vendors are relentless - neither the roped off area nor the security guard could keep some vendors from asking 2-3 times for us to buy anything from fruit, seafood, crafts, and hammocks. I had experienced vendors in other beach destinations but this place does not allow you to relax unless you can absolutely tune them out. 2) the wait staff working the beach never once in the five days we were there asked us of we wanted anything. We addressed him politely in Spanish but he shrugged his shoulders negatively and walked away every time. He would return with a tray of beverages for other guests again and again. We could not understand this phenomenon but could only speculate that perhaps we were discriminated because we appeared to be the the only non-national guests. THE ROOM: The ocean front room on the high floor of the secondary tower was impressive with a living area and a bed oriented toward the view of the water. However, it had it's fair share of problems: 1) the sliding glass patio door would stick and not open; 2) the air conditioner stopped working after one day and hotel maintenance neve
