Good location, dirty hotel
The location of this hotel is great, it's a 2 minute walk from Bayswater Tube Station, and about 5 minutes from Hyde Park. It's a very pretty area. However, the hotel itself is not ideal. It's quite shabby and run down. I booked a room with 2 single beds, and there wasn't room to swing a cat. The bedsheets didn't seem very fresh. There is a tiny TV in the room with pretty bad reception. There is also a kettle and supplied for coffee/tea which was nice, but I didn't use it. My main issue with the hotel was the shower. It looked as though it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. I am by no means a clean freak, but I felt icky getting into this shower. The shower curtain was disgusting. There is one towel on each bed and they feel like cardboard. So, overall, I was very happy with the location but I definitely will not be staying here again.

Plumbing issues, Hot, Tiny... Uncomfortable.
Our hotel was very uncomfortable. We had numerous plumbing issues in our room. The toilet struggled to flush, there was very low water pressure and often no cold water at all. Since the room got extremely hot without A/C, we tried to take cold showers to cool off. Not only did we often get no cold water, but sometimes there was no water at all. Our room was tiny and we had to climb up a very narrow stairwell to get to our room on the 4th (3rd in Europe) floor. I made the climb more often because our room key failed. The two bedside tables actually go over the bed further minimizing bed space. The hotel is however in a very convenient location near the Queensway tube station, several shops and restaurants and near the park. Spend more money on another hotel, especially during summer.

No running cold water!!! Enjoy your stay!
The Cold water stopped running. I couldn't finishing rinsing my face during the shower I was taking. There was no water for flushing the toilet either! So I get dressed and collect my things as I've got to check-out and get to work. I complain at the desk and I'm told I should have told them. No apology!! If I'd have known that was the response. I would have told them, waited 5 mins, and then checked out! I know you get what you pay for, but no cold water, seriously? Terrible!

Great location - Building could use some love
It is in a wonderful location to the park, underground, restaurants, grocery stores.. pretty much ideal. It's an older building that could use some love, as seen in the ripped up carpets, slanted floors and general wear and tear. However, that said; this is reflected in the price you are paying.

Solo Traveller
The room was perfect for my first time as a solo traveller. I wasn't asking for much, just the basics - a roof over my head and a comfortable bed to sleep in. But the room was clean, I had my own shower, sink and toilet. Also a comfortable bed with clean sheets, with great wifi connection, a tv, a phone and also complimentary tea and coffee. The area itself was great, it was only a 2 min walk from the shopping district (for groceries, souvenirs that kind of thing) and the local underground stations for you to go about your day. The reception staff were really friendly and offered free breakfast every morning as part of my stay. All in all, I had a 3 night stay at the hotel which has made my first solo trip, a great experience. Would recommend for solo travellers or even travelling university students (which I am)
