A pleasant stay at Delta Montreal
The Delta Montreal was a solid choice for a good quality hotel. There wasn't anything particularly outstanding about the stay there (and the decor in both of the rooms my family stayed in was somewhat dated/90's looking), but it was in a good location in Downtown Montreal, right near Place des Arts and the metro station. The staff were generally nice and accommodating. The room was neat and relatively spacious, bathroom was nicely organized, and the beds were comfortable. The temperature was pleasant and able to be adjusted. The TV was able to be pulled out and angled towards the bed, and free WiFi was available throughout the hotel. There was a little balcony for each room, which was a nice bonus to be able to step out and look over the city. I would say this hotel is a good choice for business travelers and travelers who want a standard level of comfort to return to at the end of a long day.

Great place to stay in montreal
The place overall I would say was pretty good. Beds and pillows were great. Decent gym with pool. The only thing I’d like to be a little better was when the cleaners came in, is they’d take empty bottles or trash and replace the glasses and cups.

Continually Thoughtful!
We were surprised with a cheese platter and Prosecco when we returned to our room and a lovely note, wishing my husband a Happy Birthday. Never thought that would happen just by his stating it was his Birthday. We've had them upgrade us on our anniversary trips, too.

Extremely high deposit (arbitrary amount)
I booked my stay with Delta hotels by marriot Montréal via a third party. On the third parties site it clearly listed that a $100CAD deposit would be required on arrival, payable by cash or credit. On arrival, the hostess asked for my ID card and credit card, and attempted to put a hold on my card without any explanation whatsoever. I then stopped her and explained I would like to pay the deposit by debit card and if not possible then cash (since cash was an accepted form specified on the website). At this point she then turned to the manager William and asked him if it was ok. He then reaponded that if it’s by Debit card they would require a deposit of $500CAD for my one nights stay. I then asked them to confirm that this amount was specified in their terms as I was sure I never saw this. They then said yes. I went to my room and read all the terms and conditions on my booking, and their website and could not see this amount anywhere. I then head back down to ask them to point out where $500CAD was specified. They could not. Terrible experience. Will never book their again. Other than that, the hotel is clean and the location is central. But the staff clearly do not appreciate their customers.
