Ok for short stay
Location is close to everywhere. The room is available when we arrived at 1pm and they allowed us for free early check-in. Provided free welcome drinks at the bar. Room is a little on the noisy side because of the club downstairs (starts at 11pm) which is expected, however neighboring room doors shutting/closing are loud, should be an easy fix if they put padding strips at the edge of the doors. Room is very old and needs serious updating. Very small TV with limited channels. Very difficult to watch the TV from the bed. No mini refrigerator which is uncommon. Bathroom sink hot and cold water are separated - old style. I am not sure whether there is any air condition. We didn't need it because but you need to double check if you are traveling in the summer. Poor lighting in the room and the hallway. This room serves the basic accommodation for a short stay. If you are staying for 3 days or more, you may need a different hotel. If you are familiar with America's Comfort Inn other 3 star hotel/motel, this is not what you are going to expect.

Travel hotel
Great budget friendly travel hotel. I was concerned about the other reviews and noise complaints but we found our room on the third floor to be very quiet. Rooms are on the smaller side.

The room was great as a central point to see Dublin but the bathrooms are in need of an update....tub is very narrow and difficult to stand in and I have no physical issues and the bathroom sink has a separate faucet for cold and hot....they are not combined and I had to move my hands from one to the other to wash my face and hands.

Days in Dublin
In the heart of temple bar area, so yes it will be noisy from 3pm to 3am. The VAT Pub is an excellent place with excellent nightly entertainment. Front desk ok as far as assistance planning day trips or booking. the rooms were clean and beds comfy.

Cons:Wifi was very spotty and extremely slow. Towels had hair balls in them that were not ours, so that was very unpleasant. Pros:The location was perfect for someone visiting Dublin. There are many attractions a few minutes away. Right in the Temple Bar area, so grabbing a quick bite to eat was never a problem!
