Not worth all the hype!
- Front desk service is snob and rude - The building is old and it seems renovation only happened for the looks - Acoustic and thermal insulations are horrible - Very low cleanliness standards (we found hairs on the bed and used contact lenses on the desk) - The bathroom is quite small and oddly has fabric and plastic curtains in the shower (again, cleanliness compromise) - Lighting is very dim all over the room, which is not very practical for make-up, for example - Breakfast is never included in the room rate (in our case, 220 USD per night per room — not cheap!) - The gym is small, equipment is ok but rather old (iPhone connector in the treadmills are iPhone 4) and AC works in one part of the room, while the other has the window open - This is clearly a party hotel. Every evening there is very loud music playing at the lobby — which can eventually be heard from the room. Rooms facing Wilshire Boulevard can be unbearable for light sleepers - Wi-fi is unstable inside the room

Okay --
It's absolutely the best hotel in the area. I wish the rooms didn't have carpeting. Also, they gave me a "handicapped" room, where the bathroom WAS the shower, and if I was actually handicapped, I would have broken my neck on the slick porcelain floor. Not great design at all.

Best Service in Los Angeles
We typically stay at the beach when visiting LA and on a whim decided to stay at the Line. The value is HUGE by comparison. From the time we checked in until the time we left the entire staff were accommodating and kind. We left saying, "Santa Monica is beautiful, but the Line is far more comfortable, far fewer tourists, and so dang hip" ... we'll be back for sure

Love LINE
Stayed here all week for work and was really sad when I had to leave the amazing view if the hills and thaf incredible blackout shade behind. Food was delicious and always delivered in such a low key way. I wish there were donuts on the breakfast menu considering the menu was shaped like a donut but it's LA so I found a donut nearby. Wasn't able to hit up Breakroom 86 this time but it came highly recommended!
