Convenient to everything.
We always stay at the Knickerbocker when we are in Chicago. The rooms are very modern and nice. I think they need an update in their lobby though. Very cordial, helpful staff.

The doors have no chain locks on room doors. That was a little unsettling. The location is excellent close to the mag mile. Also Northwestern Memorial Hospital where I had a relative staying. I would recommend

Ripped off
My 3 night stay included breakfast. My first attempt to talk to a desk clerk went nowhere I was flat out told it didn't include breakfast and I had to pay for it. The second attempt with another clerk I provided my reservation stating it included breakfast. This time I was told people try to get a free breakfast all the time. I showed her my reservation she said she couldn't do anything about it and had to talk with a manager. Since it was breakfast time and I wasn't going to wait I went elsewhere. I did get an email from a manager stating I was charged for breakfast which I already paid for but didn't get. At checkout I asked for a receipt and was told that I had to get one from the third party booking Expedia. Never in 40 years have I been denied a receipt. Nothing wrong with the hotel but the staff is rude and unprofessional.
