The ac was poor and because we were on a loud busy street it was impossible to keep our windows open to sleep. The beds are uncomfortable. All in all it should be rated about 2 1/2-3 stars.

A lot of noise in this hotel
If you have a room on the courtyard good luck sleeping after 6:00 when the (loud) staff is setting up for breakfast, and then after people begin eating. It's the loudest hotel experience I've had in a long time.

Convenient Zurich location, nice hotel.
I was just in Zurich for one night but wanted something central. The hotel was a fairly short walk from the train station, and there were plenty of great places to eat nearby. It was just a couple of blocks from the river, so it was an easy walk to sight-see around town. The included breakfast was very good, and the staff was kind enough to store my bags from me for a few hours after I checked out. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The only downside was that I could hear the couple next door a bit too well <ahem>. But, there was little to no noise form the street thanks to the double-paned windows. Just FYI, the elevator is VERY small, so it'll be cramped if you have much luggage. With a backpack and a small rolling suitcase, it was fine.

Perfect for exploring Zurich and beyond
Central location in the old town. Very nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. 5 minute walk to HB (main train station) and equally close to Uni, Lindenhof Park and high end shops.

I'll be back!
I spent 2 nights at Hotel Scheuble on a recent visit to Zurich. The location of the hotel is fantastic, as it was within easy walking distance from Zurich's main train station (Zurich HB). Also within easy walking distance of lovely boutiques and charming cafes and restaurants. My single room was very small and basic, but truly had everything I needed--including excellent water pressure in the shower! It was clean and orderly, and the hotel staff let me check in early which was wonderful after a long day of flying. The wifi connection is strong, the breakfast buffet options were very good. My room was on the 4th floor (room 412) and didn't have much of a view (which isn't a big deal to me). The first night I slept with the windows open and the nearby Cathedral bells kept me awake with chiming all night long. The next night I slept with the windows closed and the room is pretty much soundproof! There is no air conditioning in the room so I would imagine that its a little warm in the summer, but I was there in late September so that really wasn't an issue. I walked EVERYWHERE from this centrally located hotel (museums, cathedrals, river walks), and I would definitely stay again.
